Please add experience from killing players

It would be wonderful to have a choice in how we level up.

Considering the the name of the game is WARcraft and the theme is one side fighting another.

Some people hate questing, and they would like to level up by killing in combat vs other players in the battlegrounds.

On the other hand some people prefer to quest and kill mobs to level up.

This change will create a side effect and also discourage twinks in the battlegrounds, because they will eventually level up wither they want to or not. And the fights should balance out better. Another problem solved.

It's a possibility for some time in the future, but we don't have anything more on that at this point in time. We mentioned it at Blizzcon as a consideration, however.

Or in other words, "It's an idea we still toss around ocasionally when standing at the water cooler but its not really something that has a very high priority for us. We also like to joke about how amusing it would be sometime to just make all the armor models into teddy bear outfits."
^_^

Gotta love how the same kind of silly brainstorming about this game that everyone else does is somehow magically turned into gospel if a blizzard person says it.
>_>

Paraphrasing what others have said in a misleading way, isn't exactly the most productive thing. You can conjecture what you wish, but there have been many things that were in "consideration" in the past that have come to light. Our time tables just happen to be a little different than what other people have in mind.

So no teddy bear outfits?
Not really trying to mislead anyone. Just pointing out that stuff that is discussed and mentioned isn't always what winds up happening with just a dash of humor.

I apologize if that came across wrong.

(In my defense we had a 4:00 AM server matenence last night so I'm a bit less sane than usual today.)

No worries. ;) People just sometimes feel some strange urge to reinterpret things we say and I would hate for anyone to think that those reinterpretations are gospel. But it's true, that we try not to promise unless we can deliver. So in this case, it's just a discussion topic of interest with nothing carved in stone just yet. ;)

I'm sorry that you had a 4am maintenance. That's never fun and sanity is highly overrated.

Neth do you guys keep a list of responses handy to cut and paste when players ask the same question over and over and over again. I know I sure would, you're patience’s is admirable.

No. Contrary to some people's belief, it's actually faster to pull it out of your head than copy and paste after opening some document you've squirreled away somewhere. ;)
