You mentioned you read third party fansites. I surely hope that ArenaJunkies is one of them. Have you seen these two threads?

I wrote a very long version of this post, and in my tiredness forgot to copy and paste before attempting to post only to discover I had been logged out. Here's the short version:

People do way too much damage in PvP. While I realize my health and Resil are well below where they will be at the end of S5, it doesnt take a math genius to subtract 25% damage from each crit that I get hit with, and then look at the % of my total HP that would represent at the end of S5. This puts Arcane Barrage crit at about 25% of your HP pool on an instant cast on a 3sec CD (it crit me for 7k yesterday with 10% resil mitigation). This is unacceptbale amount of burst. DPS has scaled way too well vs. player HP pool and resilience dmg reduction to the point where healing is trivialized. It's not that heals don't hit hard as well, it's that if you get silenced for 4 seconds your partner is dead before you have an opportunity to cast that (stupid) 12k heal crit to combat the 12k dps crits.

Please, we need something done about this before an entire arena season goes to waste. There are a lot of people like me who play primarily or exlusively to PvP. It seems that we're waiting on experimental period of an entire arena season gone bad to see results that are very predictable right now. 30% reduction of dmg on crits will not solve the zergfest that is PvP right now.

I do not understand why so much time is put into fixing a class doing a few hundred extra DPS in PvE when PvE is at least functioning, meanwhile healing in PvP is basically not functioning at all. Do we really need to wait for full PvP gear near the end of a season for enough people to have it to finally say ok its a problem?

I implore you to take a look at all the PvP threads on Arenajunkies as well as on these forums. Please keep in mind that posters on Arenajunkies are all players with 2k+ previous ratings.

There are several threads on very similar topics of PvP healing. I chose this one but it's not to disparage any of the similar posts.

I think we can all agree that once players have more resilience, healing will be more meaningful and burst damage will be less meaningful. So then the issue becomes the matter of degree -- will it be enough?

In beta, we noticed a huge difference between matches that occured near the resilience cap and those that didn't. But at the time we were very concerned that all Arena matches had devolved into dps races and that healers couldn't even heal themselves through a single attacker. It may be that now that players have their real characters and made a major effort to learn the new mechanics and get the best gear that damage greatly outweighs healing again.

So I would say it's definitely a concern, but we're not sure yet if we want to make sweeping changes just before the next Arena season starts. We will all learn a great deal more over the next week or two.

Here is the part where I remind you that these forums are for discussions about class balance and mechanics. Your views on the strength of healing in PvP or lack thereof are totally fair game. Your tales of how you were ignored in beta or how we have some fiendish plot to get healers to reroll are not particularly appreciated (except mildly for entertainment purposes).

If you find you are the kind of person who gets extremely frustrated when we disagree with you that an immediate change to the game is warranted, I would suggest that you read but not post or take a break from the forums altogether. Because honestly, we are going to disagree with you often that immediate changes are warranted. Not every time. But often.
