Disc Issues Revisited!

Since I am the only priest in the game that has been able to coax a blue response about the disc tree in months, I'll take another stab at this.

Are you guys kidding me?

I was very polite before and GC came into my thread only to say he would not be coming into all threads, completely ignoring the entire point.

Disc is full of bugs. Many of our core talents are not working correctly. These issues have been posted time and time again.

What do we get in this patch?

Reflective Shield now only works on the Priest.

Instead of fixing a bug, you make it so that its "working as intended".

Also,

Glyph of Dispel Magic -- Your Dispel Magic spell also heals your target for 3% of maximum health. (Down from 6%)

Seriously? Do you even understand how horrible priests are in pvp at the moment? Not to mention the fact that Dispel Magic has scaled to DOUBLE the mana cost from level 70, while all other dispelling effects have come nowhere close to that.

Dispel Magic is incredibly expensive to cast, often fails due to everyone having resistance, and requires us to not be stunned the entire fight. Throw us a bone here somewhere guys, come on!

Current list of Class defining Disc Bugs that have never been mentioned anywhere by devs:

-Rapture:
Rapture returns mana on Divine Aegis and PW:Shield based on the target's mana pool instead of my own. IE: Zero mana regained on Warrior/Rogue/DK/Druid.

-Divine Aegis
This ability currently does not stack with PW:Shield or with itself as it is supposed too. Devs said it was supposed to stack months ago.

-Improved Power Word:Shield
Imp. PW:S is back to only affecting the base amount, and no longer takes bonus from spell power into account. This was actually fixed at one point in time and is broken again.

-Borrowed Time
Borrowed Time is still multiplying the coefficient by 1.40 instead of adding 40% like the text indicates it should.

-Reflective Shield
This ability currently only reflects damage if the shield is applied to myself.

Oh wait, you "fixed" this one. Thanks.

- Priests are already one of the least played classes in the game.
- We are horribly shafted in pvp right now.
- Even after the huge CoH nerf, holy is superior to disc in almost every aspect.

Blizzard, I'm begging you at this point. Fix our disc tree.

I'm kind of at a loss here, because apparently neither responding that we are looking into the bugs nor choosing not to respond at all accomplish anything. The only acceptable response to you seems to be "we fixed it," and that just isn't going to happen immediately with every concern that players bring up. We have a long list of stuff we want to look at. No matter which issues we look at first, someone else is going to be unhappy.

We're not going to inflate our design department beyond a size at which we think we can stay in close communication.

We're not going to delay every patch until we are 110% satisfied with it. Why? Because we are very critical of our own game, and we would never ship anything if that was our goal. It's a very large MMO. There is always going to be some aspect of it that we think we can make even better.

The only option really left, unfortunately, is patience. I know you feel you've been patient. Other players feel that way too. It's not a contest to see who feels the most neglected so that their issues get looked at first.

We have long term plans to let you cast it on others again but it would require rebuilding the spell, which takes some tech we don't have available at the moment.

Dispels are already very powerful in PvP. We didn't want anyone to be able to just heal via dispels. It was too powerful.

It is supposed to stack, just like we said. We haven't released a build for months though. The next one should have it. We can't let Divine Aegis stack with itself though. That gets into crazy situations.
