Q u o t e:
The buffs here are designed primarily to make Arcane more competitive with Fire / Frostfire builds in PvE. Because they could end up buffing Arcane in PvP, we are prepared to adjust the damage of say Arcane Barrage if needed, but we want to see these in action on the PTR first.

Mage PvE damage in general is something we are keeping a close eye on. With the recent hunter changes, many of which were nerfs to PvE damage, we want to make sure mages now don’t break away from the pack of damage-dealing specs.

This statement has me worried GC. HYBRIDS are doing 5k dps now and you seem concerned with nerfing pure dps classes (eg hunters) while its okay for enhance shaman to do over 5k dps. That doesn't make much sense to me.

These knee jerk pve nerf reactions really need to stop, I for one think that hunters were fine for pve. For the love of god, the hunter nerfs were not needed and these knee jerk pve damage nerfs in general are NOT needed.

Please fix your priorities. I think hunters were just fine. I can't think of ANY PURE dps class that can't top the charts depending on the type of encounter. What you NEED TO DO is fix elemental shamans, nerf enhance shamans, and revert the hunter pve damage nerf. If you continue with the knee jerk pve nerfs, hunters will end up in the same boat mages were in TBC, which isn't fun for anyone.

The problem with "Reserved" is that players have to skip over a lot of them in big threads, and I'm not sure half of them ever go back to see if the "Reserved" has been filled in. Sometimes they never are.

I totally understand why people like to do it, and unfortunately it's a hard thing to enforce. If you just tell players not to reserve posts, it feels like you are encouraging them to post some kind of junk post that pretends to actually address the issue just so they can go back and post their real thoughts later.

So I don't have a strong opinion on Reserved, but it is one of the things you see a lot and have to skip over in long threads.

To all the haters, I actually don't have a problem with the occasional (important key word) silly post. Sometimes it feels necessary to break the negative vibe that can permeate these forums. Sometimes something funny can make all of the exposition more readable by breaking it up or maybe, maybe even making the forums more entertaining so players will read more. Sometimes I think it is useful for players to realize that even though our actions can have a big effect on their game that we don't get a swelled head about the whole thing. We don't take ourselves that seriously.
