WOD old raid soloing...what about pruning?

i have seen many of the blue posts on how existing abilities to solo older raids after SQUISH would be preserved comments like:

There will be special handling in place for players to retain the ability to solo older raid content. Players will deal bonus damage against and take reduced damage from lower-level creatures from past expansions. (Rygarius)

the item squish *will not* make soloing old raids harder. We promise, and 110% guarantee it.

Raids you were able to solo pre-item squish, you will still be able to solo just as easily post item squish. and more along these lines with terms like "rest assured"

with this level-85, i ran a low level player thru BT yesterday, 4 bosses i use blood spec and on two i use necrotic strike (NS). this ability is getting pruned in WOD from my tanking spec. when i got to council bosses in BT i normally keep NS up on lady malande, i did a test in the middle of the fight and stopped using NS and did not use it anymore, she healed them enough to eventually wear my DK down and i died. in the second fight i used NS the whole fight and cleared them as usual. the earlier essence of desire boss phase i also use NS, to reduce her healing while being CC'd alot. if i don't use it, which i learned in the past, my player gets wiped and her heals are unstoppable while chain CC'd

basicly i can solo BT now, saw no issues with squish, believe that pruning of key abilities will negate the assurances made.

We'll make changes to older encounters if it's needed for players to retain the ability to solo raid content from previous expansions.

While you're at it, could you guys make it so we can do Thorim in Ulduar without having to be one of a few classes or really lucky/fast?

Because that's really annoying.

And don't forget Dreamwalker from ICC!

We're making a change at some point in the future to some legacy raids that includes changing it so Thorim no longer spawns a deathball and reset when his arena is empty.

You can also skip Valithria if you're an engineer.

That fight will become optional, so non-healers can get past the fight.

Great news EXCEPT for the fact that we still won't be able to farm her for transmog gear.

If you really want items off that encounter as a class that is unable to heal, make friends with a healer and ask them (nicely) to help out.
