Transfer characters between their accounts?

My wife made her account in her name and I have my account in my name, so is character transferring even possible?

Thanks in advance!

Don' ya LOVE General?

I do, I really really do!

It is technically possible to transfer a character from one account to another when the last names match? Yes, technically it may be possible to do so.

It is a violation of our Terms of Use? Absolutely.

What will happen?

If this violation is discovered both accounts could be penalized, up to the closure of both accounts. Is that likely to happen? Perhaps, there are several factors involved.

Keeping with the speeding analogy, speeding is against the law, people do it all the time but you are continually at risk of getting pulled over.

Fair enough. So why are the CSRs, understanding the facts in the cases, allowing the transfers to go through?

The process is basically automatic, Orsbrun, we don't have a bunch of people sitting at a desk manually inspecting each transfer and pushing the approve or reject button.

That is why I said, technically it is possible but it not permitted according to our Terms of Use.

I realize the expression "if you are the subscriber on both accounts" can be misleading but that is why the wording in the parenthesis are important.
Q u o t e:

- Transfers between accounts can be done only if you are the subscriber on both accounts. (We do not support the transfer of characters between friends, guild mates, or family members.)
