So the WoWdev's have introduced catchup plans for the crafting system and for mining and for herbalism. I am curious now as to why we still have a numbered system. Granted I know it makes things a bit harder for people to level them up, but really its now just a tedious task. Players grab a new profession, spend hours and hours gaining points here and there and just do nothing with the fact that they are leveling up the numbers. Really its just a blackade that used to gate the system into 'the raiding' tiers. Because of changes and bloat in the system now its a nuesance which forces the WoWdevs into coming up with 'catch up' plans.

I think its about time we talk about removing professions 'You can't pick this herb because your skill is 35 not 90 and maybe move towards a more practical leveling system which rewards the player for leveling up as well as removing the hassle players face when learning a new profession. Are there better options than picking and making 300 pairs of bracers just so you can make a 'bar' of ore thats shiney from the new expansion? Whats the trade off fun factor from hitting a node of rock where you can clearly see the visual aspect of ore/gems and getting a fragment because apparently your character cannot fathom how to mine this ore until he mines 599 other types?
