So my guild tried Malygos 10-man for the first time tonight. For those that don't know, he does a fun little ability during phase 1:
Q u o t e:
Vortex: Once every minute, Malygos takes off from the ground and spins up a whirling vortex of Arcane energy, tossing the raid around and dealing 2000 Arcane damage every second for 10 seconds. When Vortex ends, everyone will be dropped around the center of the platform and take up to 10% of their maximum health in falling damage. Only instant cast spells can be used during this time.
So instant heals only, and 20k of AoE damage to everyone in the raid over 10 seconds. The current best boss strats we found for Malygos were from Bosskillers, and say that a WG druid and CoH priest are "ESSENTIAL."

So I was OK for the first Vortex by NSing a Chain Heal, and the one single Riptide I was able to get off, but with NS on a 3 minute timer, the 2nd Vortex meant very little from me. I felt even worse for the Holy paladin in our raid, as he was useless after a single Holy Shock.
So the raid leader replaced me with a CoH priest, and the Holy paladin with a WG druid, and they 3-shotted him.
I thought this sort of stuff was not going to be happening anymore, Ghostcrawler? What happened to "Bring the player, not the class"?
ONCE AGAIN, this is not a QQ about WG or CoH. Its the fact that Holy Paladins especially were told that their was going to be less emphasis for large scale AoE healing in WotLK, and their subsequent raid viability. -And if Malygos is suppose to be like this, that was, for lack of a better word, a lie. I think the healing community deserves an explanation.
