i havent healed a DK tank yet... but i cant help to think as them as a ret paladin or a furry warrior attempting to tank.

since all of their trees are for dps... it makes me feel unsure... sure, i dont doubt they can put out amazing threat... but, mitigation? i remember healing this unholy DK in "the pit" in grizzly a few lvls ago and he took a lot of damage.......

So, are DK tanks comparable to paladins warriors or bears?

I've healed a couple and other than having to adjust a bit on my end on how they need healed, I've found the experience painless and fun.

Q u o t e:
I have healed a death knight tank and I did find it a little more challenging because the damage seemed to be kind of spikey and their excellent self-healing kind of throws me off. I haven't done it enough to make a firm judgment. Also, no death knight is going to have an great tank set yet, just whatever quest rewards they've picked up, so I don't think it's really fair to compare them to the prot pallys and warriors that have come out of BC with full epics.

There's nothing more annoying than sitting around looking for a tank, so I welcome any death knight to give it a shot and I'm sure there will be lots of good ones at 80.

That's the same experience I've had. It takes some adjustment since they don't take a lot of damage and then will take a bunch all at once. So you have to go from just little touches to all out unloading the heals.
