Is there anything against the TOS saying that you cannot play on a private server?

Yes.

Q u o t e:
And they use . commands. A GM would type .kill and it would kill something.

Edit: Oh, and you can find a list of commands online.

That would require a special client and account used by Game Masters to assist players. We have neither.

So do the GM masters kind of run around feeling better than the rest of you.

I know I would. :)P

They're not allowed to play the game with such powers. They only have access to these tools while at work and on accounts used solely for assisting customers. We are very strict about employees not having access to any tools that would enhance their play characters.

The powers exist for testing and assistance purposes only. There's always the misconception that we can do whatever we want with our characters in the game. Trivializing the game and keeping clearly unfair advantages over other players would not be conducive to an employee's knowledge of how the game plays.

Edit: In other words, Bornakk worked hard at it in his spare time. :)

Do you folks all raid and attempt dungeons together? I mean, since you know each other in real life, do you go home and play together online as well, or is the time you spend at the office enough so that you don't want to have anything to do with each other outside work?

I think a couple of us do, but otherwise... we are among you...

Here I was going to bet it would have been Ghostcrawler or a quest designer that hit 80 first.

I was only counting community managers when I said Bornakk hit 80 first.

As far as running instances together goes, a lot of us are on separate realms. Crygil and I usually group up every night though. I've been through Nexus, Utgarde Keep, Azjol'Nerub (Upper and Old Kingdoms), Gundrak, and Drak'Tharon Keep with him so far.

Oh, we didn't ask the whole company. ;) Who knows how many others have. We're a good mixture of gamer types.

It must be nice to ban someone on forum when they pk you in game.........

I've never done that. It would seem a bit odd to hold someone accountable for playing the game versus breaking the Code of Conduct on the forums. If they PK me in game, I can always get them back either then or later. After all, revenge is a dish best served cold.

anyone in the company you know hit 80 on a DK yet?

I'm not sure. We're a pretty big company and don't have a running tally of level gains. As far as our team goes, Aratil is around 78 I believe.

Do you Blues read through the quest text and enjoy the story as you level? Or, do you just care only for the XP and rewards and are racing to lvl 80?

Hopefully there is no regret as some quests just don't feel the same after you know how to complete them effectively.

We all do things differently. I personally prefer to have context for my actions. Otherwise I'm just killing or interacting with pixels. The context provides a bit more immersion which, to me, helps to escape the grind of life and enjoy the game.

I can picture Neth being one of the ppl that is around 73-74 just casually doing quests and everytime something shiny is in sight will stop and take it all in for a few minutes :P

Gogo Neth!

You've been spying on me! I'm half through 74 and am doing the quest achievements in the zones. I also am trying NOT to get distracted by pvp, but it's hard.

In before "NETH I PUT ON MY ROBE AND WIZARD HAT".

I've never ventured onto an RP realm before. Are there actually people who will hit max level and then sit in one spot all day, saying something along the lines of "Who would cross the Bridge of Westfall must answer me these questions three, 'ere the other side he see. What's your favorite color?"? If so, I may have to create a new character and experience it first hand.

I haven't seen that, but now you're giving me ideas...
