Sent mail to wrong person

So after about a month of farming gold, I was finally able to buy the Badge of Tenacity for my druid. I go to my mailbox and send it, then log into my druid to wait for it to come.

After about an hour I realized i mistyped the name of the character by 1 letter. I put in Albice instead of Albyce. I spoke with the GM about the issue and he said the character I sent it to is level 1 and I have to wait 30 days for it to be sent back or ask the player to give it back.

So a couple of people told me I should post here about the situation and see if I can get some more help on this issue. Am I really going to have to wait 30 days for the badge to be mailed back to me?

I am sorry, Aktiv, since you recall the name of the person you might have sent the gold to you are welcome to send another message and ask for them to return it to you but unfortunately once that mail leaves your character it technically is not yours any longer and we may not touch it.

Hopefully the character you sent it to remains inactive in that time and it will return to you once it expires.
