You tried to use 2 air totems :P
You are drawing on the power of the elements and as such, it takes great effort so, can only have one of each totem type out at a time.
From there, what you choose depends on what you feel you need most for any given encounter. Totems that have AoE effects aren't going to be your top choice when you are in the middle of a lot of mobs.
I'm sure you can learn a lot from people on this forum that can tell you which totems work best in any given situation and what combinations are the most effective as well.

Apparently, people feel the need to express their discontent over a response in this forum. They should use wowcmfeedback@blizzard.com rather than derailing this thread. I'll give short suspensions for those that continue to derail and troll. Please don't go that way.
I think it's an interesting conversation to have for those that are learning how totems work and it's a learning experience for them.

I have a Shaman I'm leveling that is Enhance at current.
As for the sticky request, I don't make those determinations, but we are currently going through the requests for stickies and evaluating them as additions to each forum. We try to be careful about what we sticky though so that we don't overload the forums with stickies that no one will read.

WTB truck full of oak totems.
I think balsa actually grows quickly or some such. It may be an environmental thing you know. ;) Perhaps bamboo would be better. It can be quite strong.
