Question: Archmage?

In a discussion of them being a strong candidate for a Hero Class, some questions in my mind where raised about the implication of such a beast:

1) What is an Archmage?

2) How does an Archmage differ form a regular Mage?

3) What would the talent trees look like for such a class?

4) How will there spells will work without duplicating the ones for a regular Mage?

5) What will their spell types be? Fire? Arcane? Frost? Shadow? Or something entirely different?

In before someone posts: Yes, I took a look at WoW Wiki and I felt their explanations where unclear...so I am asking here. I hope you don't mind.

When I think of an Archmage, I think of a really big level 3 Water Elemental, sound right?

On a more serious note, we currently have no finalized plans for Hero classes beyond the Death Knight in Wrath of the Lich King. Discussions on the future of Hero classes are welcome though.
