I love it how Blizzard says the game will be playable at 9pm PST, but if you are on the West Coast you cant buy it until 12am PST.

Way to go Blizzard...

We're working to ensure the sun reaches all areas of the world at the same time of day and plan to have this corrected in a future patch.

it should just be released and playable at the same time for everyone

not that difficult

We'll take your advice into consideration the next time we coordinate and localize a massive online game in several regions throughout the world.

Just think, "not that difficult."

It's embarassing how easy this is all to fix. Make game for sale on the 12th. Activate servers on the 13th. Everyone gets to play at the same time then. yayayaya

First consider that any action we take leaves some sort of room for criticism, as evidenced by this thread. Now consider millions of people with a copy of a game they bought when it was officially released, yet no one can play it for up to 24 hours after purchase.

The subject of critique in this thread may become irrelevant, but a new topic of criticism would easily take its place and then some.

Can I get a Blizzard Rep to confirm or deny the rumor that those on the East Coast cannot play on West Coast servers until it's 12 PST?

This is not true. After installing the expansion and upgrading an account, players will be able to access the new content beginning at 9 PM Pacific time in the US, regardless of the realm's time zone.
