Why is Wotlk on in dvds not floppy disks?

I'm just asking this because my computer doesn't have a dvd drive in it meaning that I have to wait 2-3 weeks to be able to play Wrath of the Lich King (depending on when the online download is available). When i ifrst started playing I bought WoW, but soon found that it said "DVD Disk" or something like that, but since I bought it i just upgraded my account and downloaded the game client since i didn't have a DVD drive, i did the same thing about a month later to get The Burning Crusade, but instead of buying at a store i bought in account management and downloaded it because once again it said "DVD" on the box when I was going to buy it so I didn't buy it and did what I said above.

I'm just wondering why the copies aren't normal floppy disk drive compatible because i'm really bummed how I have to wait 2-3 or so weeks until I can enjoy the new expansion. I'm also a little bummed because my guild and friends will all be ahead of me in progress and I was hoping to be at the same questing, instancing, raiding, etc. level and gear wise as my guild is so i'm not way behind. I just wish their was a floppy disk copy available for those of us who can't go and buy it, pop it into the drive, install, and then start playing.

Any answers to this would be greatly appreciated, Thank You!

If one were to require Wrath of the Lich King on floppy disks, I think it'd take 2-3 weeks to install.

"Oh crap! I think the dog ate disk #11,783!"

It's not fair to troll this way so early in the morning.
