Why the rush to level so fast?

I'm not dissing anyone here -- if pushing yourselves to get to the end game is your thing, then more power to you, and I hope you're having a blast with the xpac. As a casual player, I guess I'm just curious -- there are lots of folks chewing their way through the new content, racing to get to 80. I expect it was the same way when BC came out (I'm fairly new to the game, so I don't know) with people rushing to 70. Why, when there is so much to see and do with the new content, do you want to whizz through it all? And do you intend, once you hit 80 and/or make your DK, to go back and explore a little deeper?

Just that, it took about three years for this expansion to come out, and some folks have hit endgame in five days -- what do you do now?

Everyone plays a little differently. For some, it's a rush to be first or get to the top to see what the view is like. For others, it's a slow and steady journey. Not one way is better than the other. For me, I'm taking my time and experiencing as much as I can as I go along. For me, it's made the journey so far very fulfilling.

Once you get to the top you can do whatever you want at whatever pace you want.

L2Level, scrub

:D

(Kidding of course)

I'm leveling fine, simply by doing the quests and dungeons. ;) /ding 74

I don't feel the urge to go any faster and the quests move you along pretty well.
