You really did it (Holy Paladin dps)

You really did it. You let the expansion roll out with Holy Paladin's dps horribly gimped. You admit it is gimped. You HOTFIX the nerfs, but can't be bothered fixing Holy dps in time for the expansion.

This, GC. This is what makes Paladins so sick with frustration.

And to all the inevitable QQrs about my QQ. Yes I know its a healing class, respec Ret blah blah BLAH. I want to level Holy. I don't want Holy to do superior dps, I want it to be equal to other class's healing specs dps.

In no particular order...

1) Our goal was never to make all specs exceptional at dps. We did want to improve the dps of all the healing specs though.
2) We do think Holy paladin dps is too low.
3) Resto shammy and druid probably aren't that great either.
4) We do have plans to improve these, but we don't think your dps is so awful that you will have difficulty leveling. Certain classes and specs have always excelled at leveling, which means others are going to be slower. If your leveling rate is too low for your comfort, you can respec.
5) Retribution was in such a broken state that our priority was to fix it. I'm sorry you got caught in the crossfire, but that is the way of these things. We couldn't keep Ret as it was just to avoid hurting Holy and Protection dps.
6) We don't prioritize nerfs over buffs in a general sense. We do however evaluate how many players would be affected by a chance. Nerfing Retribution affected PvE dps and PvP for all roles. Having Holy dps too low mostly affects leveling and daily quests by Holy paladins. It is still an issue, but just lower on the foodchain. I'm sure you can understand why, even if you still don't like the outcome.
