Q u o t e:Q u o t e:
Are you happy with Hunger For Blood being horrible for PvP, and like the old Rampage for PvE?
No, not completely. We understand that CC + a short duration limit how often you can benefit from it. Obviously, we think removing MS and Hamstring was a little too good, just because those are generally hard debuffs to get out of.
So can we expect some sort of tuning for HfB. Rampage was not fun so you changed it. Why give rogues basically the same talent with more up keep. I understand removing snares and MS are OP, but why not put it back to the way it was (without the removal of magic) and add a reasonable Cool down? Or why not leave it as is, and also make it that each stack gives a 10% movement speed increase stackable to 30%. This should help the assassination kiting issue and provide an incentive for rogues not to go Mutilate Prep and skip the 51 pointer you worked so hard on.
I have some questions.
1) With Hemo being relegated to a "raid buff" and not a main attack, are there any plans to make it... kinder words escape me at the moment... not completely garbage? It does not add enough damage to make up for the fact that the 30 energy i just used on it could have done more for the raid by using sinister strike.
2) With mages able to heal using a glyph by 60% (or was it 30%) and hunters being able to regen 10% every 50 seconds through spirit bond, are there any plans to change some of the rogues lack luster glyphs to a minor heal? Such as changing the mind boggling Vanish glyph to a more useful albeit tiny, heal?
3) Do you feel you've done enough to help Subtelty tree now that is now officially a Dagger only tree since Hemo has fallen? More specifically, will the increased strength of resilience further make the subtlety tree extinct?
4) I saw in another blue post, you guys said (i forget if it was you) that the Shadowstep nerf was made before you guys gave all the other classes more survivability and now you feel you may have gone too far. Will it be reverted in the coming patch?
5) For the love of god, lightning reflexes is not good. we've said it. YOU'VE said it. Yet, its still there as a glaring thorn in my Tree. (gosh my puns are clever) Deadened nerves is also, but to a lesser extent. When is lightning reflexes getting something? Even as a one point talent, I would not take it.
6) Shadow Dance is (excuse the dry humor) a mere shadow of its former self. It provides no survivability. I have a macro that changes the bar to the stealth bar for me when I press it. Guess what? It still sucks. If that is the "fix" that is coming... It won't change much. Why not make it the way it used to be with 4 vanishes, except each vanish removes all CC. On a 3 minute CD. Lets face it. Subtlety has no damage anymore. With Hemo being gutted and reduced to a buff, backstab is all it has. With Shadowtep the way it is... I don't foresee getting behind people being an easy task. Shouldn't Sub be the mobile and escape tree? Shadow dance does none of these.
7) I don't want to sound like our concerns are more important that others and you are busy working on the next content patch, but having 3 novelty 51 pointers is upsetting to say the least. I can't tell you how many times Killing Spree has tossed me in some random direction or off a cliff. Why can't putting a point into Killing Spree give you two abilities just like Feral Charge (cat and bear) One can attack 5 different people and the other will attack ONE person. I was questing yesterday and tried to do one of the wanted quests in Dragon Blight. I had aggro, did killing spree and went to a mob outside the tower and fell. The wanted mob ran outside after me and then he tethered back, making us have to do it all over again.
8) Deadly Throw was taken off of the Rogue's pvp gloves. Unlike other rogues, i feel making it a talent was a good idea since our glove bonus was so much better than others'. But can we discuss our ridiculous 4 piece bonus? 10 more energy? Come on now. Vigor was not worth the talent point before and had to be moved up the tree and many rogues STILL don't look at it. Why do warriors get 5 seconds off intercept which is far more attractive than our crappy 10 energy?
9) Not really an issue, just a request. Why can't glyph of Sprint make us immune to snares for the duration BUT reduce the duration by 70%? We've all asked for it for years. Reducing the duration to 4.5 seconds on a 3 minute cd isn't terrible is it?
Finally, I'd like to say, WotLK is amazing so far. I am enthralled and captivated by the quests thus far. I am also worried about our fate at 80. We have no real raid viability that isn't offset by the fact we are melee and suffer a higher penalty than ranged DPS. Hunters and Warlocks surpassed us in Sunwell even with a legendary weapon.
