Can u be banned for taking the free pvp gear?

I herd from some people on my server that u could get a 2day ban for taking the free pvp gear?

is this true?

aparently its "abusing a bug" or something

also if this does get a blue what is happening with those items?

Folks, this issue is still being looked into and a resolution worked on. We are advising players to not take advantage of this situation and not purchase the items.

Those are the only answers I have for you. If I receive additional information I will let you know, until then, please heed the advice posted in the MoTD.
