What does a guild do with no Shamans?

This is a serious question.

Right now the 2 resto Shamans we have, have not been showing up.

I was talking to our guild leader about this and we came to the same thought, what do you do?

You said you wanted dps / tanks / healers brought for there skill and not for a min / max reason. A priest can tank heal ok, and raid heal (as of now). If you put a CD on CoH and our Shaman doesn't show up, who will do the raid healing?

The Druid? Nope, CD on WG. The Pally, nope Beacon has a very high mana cost. You just wait untill your Shaman decides to show up and like other have said maybe run a 5 man why your waiting for him just like SWP before 3.0.

GC, have you read the priest forums? Alot of us have been saying the yes, CoH has been OP, and turned the NEW preists into mouth breathing button smashers. Just bring back the non-smart CoH and we'll be fine. We'll be the jack of all trades, masters of none but we'll be fine.

If the 6 sec CD goes live, this wil make the priest class less fun and I'll just go back to my Warlock or Hunter.

You don't need Resto shamans to raid.

If Chain Heal ends up being the only spell that gets used to heal, or the spell that pushes Holy priests and Resto druids out of a raid, then we'll nerf it. We don't think those cases are likely, but we always try to leave the possibility open.

I've already said we'll adjust the content with the assumption that CoH and WG aren't going to be as huge a percent of total healing.

That's not a very reasonable thing to say. You can say "We don't like this change," or "We're worried that we won't be brought to raids anymore." That is something I can understand, that I can discuss with the other designers, that we can think about.

But we do take things like this very seriously.

Honestly, if anything I am more concerned at this point that Holy priests thought the only reason they were getting taken to raids before is because of CoH spam. That doesn't make me want to buff it though.
