AV is not PvP!!

Why is the best honor and pvp rewards (other than arena rewards) given from the battleground with the least actual PvP. Rushing a scripted boss is not PvP. Taking a tower where scripted archers are your only resistance is not PvP. I truely do not understand why any pvp rewards come from AV when you really don't fight any other players.

Last AV i was in i went on offense to take the RH, at the end of the battleground I had 3 honorable kills and 500 honor. I only encountered 3 alliance and we won. When i go to black temple on my way there i kill 3 alliance walking to the entrance. Yet I don't recieve pvp rewards for that...

PvP is defined as Player versus Player. It means fighting other individuals who are not scripted. It only makes sense that PvP rewards are distrubuted for such actions. I don't raid for pvp gear, why do people in AV raid for their pvp gear?

My solution to the AV problem is remove it entirely. Nothing good comes from AV, people either afk for PvP gear, or they raid for it. It is not PvP and it should not reward that sort of gear.

You are a horde player, have someone cap the snowfall graveyard and the pvp battle is likely to ensue.

Sure, but i can also not go into my Black temple instance and fight alliance instead. This ensues PvP but we do not accomplish our goal now do we?

What is your goal then? Personally I've had a lot of fun in these big pvp battles in Alterac Valley. With the reinforcement system one side or the other will win without killing the NPC leader and it results in a lot of honorable kills and a lot of honor points. I guess it depends on how you want to play the game.

actually it wont...they all go at once to galv then straight to the relif hut.

no one cares who caps snowfall, in many games i play no one takes it at all.

While I have seen this happen, the vast majority of the games where we have a group of people go on defense and someone caps snowfall, it ends up in a big pvp battle. Your scenario is definitely in the minority with what I've been experiencing lately.

Apperantly winning is not the goal of PvP. If I engage in PvP combat without going for the Battleground leaders I will lose. Alliance rush the Aid station and kill drek in under 15 minutes almost every game. They are not fighting other players it is PvE. The rewards for AV should reflect the type of game it is.

And like I said in my last post, this happens in the minority of games for me.
