First a foremost, I would like to begin this post stating this is from both a PVP and ENHANCE point of view. This had zilch to do with any other shaman spec, though my heart does go out to Elemental. I can't really comment on Resto, never really played a healer full time, and only played resto for 10 minutes before I respecced due to horrible gear.

Yes, my arena ratings suck, I haven't done arenas in over 3 months out of frustration and I'm to lazy to find a real partner to carry me through the ratings. So some of these perspectives will come from a dueling situation, but it's still very valid.

First I'll begin with the more trivial issues, because I might forget them by the time I'm done.

1. Windshock should do damage. Why? Because this way it can proc elemental desvastation, so I don't cringe everytime I waste a shock cooldown stopping a heal, then realizing I'm just delaying the inevitable, because I'm forfieting a fair portion of damage on stopping a cast. It costs Roughly 44%ish the mana cost of Earth shock, so it should do 44% the damage Earth shock does. It still discludes us from bursting on a non GCD move. Though in a current state, I don't see why Windshock is changed to something else and Earth shock is just taken off the GCD, we don't do enough damage as is. Also while we're on this topic, Earthshock doesn't lock down long enough, another suggestion would be to, rename windshock and give it a 10 second cooldown and a 4 second lockout, 5 seconds talentable. Then you could change earthshock to a stun (2 seconds, DMs), then we could kite! Yay! Or try to.

2. Stormstrikes animation. What? I stab with axes now? I look like a moron stormstriking, give us back our other animation, which looked better IMO. Or make a new one that makes sense. This is trivial I admit, but if I suck, I want to look cool and suck ok? Then again, that's what it is to be a shaman, I look so awesome, people get all jealous and kill me first, but damn you I want to make sense, not jab people with my axes and tickle them to death. Also bring back all other element types, I wanna use frostshock and not feel like I've lost 200 damage because of it. We can't use Lava burst with Maelstrom anymore either.

3. Shamanistic rage. Sometimes I despise the dual nature of this ability. When I go oom, I'm torn between saving it to live incase I come under assault, or use it to regain mana so I can continue to assault. Take the mana regen off it, make our shocks restore 12% of our base mana (Like a Reta-din), 12% because they cooldown quicker than a talented judgement does. Sham rage can continue it's 30% damage reduction, as lack luster for a 41 point talent as it is, I'd prefer something else, but coupled with my other suggestions it would make us OP.

4. Lava Lash. This is a sadistic joke right? 300 damage? We have a 35 point talent, that lets us hit for 300 (375 if I'm using flametongue) every 6 seconds? Assuming that is, we don't have more important buttons to press. One thing you devs need to understand, enhance shamans have more important things to spam (like totems and stormstrike), and even when we make time for it, chances are we're busy being kited at max range by an arcane mage spamming 3.5k crits at me on a 3 second cooldown, and on his off time spamming slow to make sure my all important earthbind totem doesn't help me escape by mistake.

5. All things Windfury. So in the light of Paladin changes, a few things need to be done to balance SoC and Windfury. First is nerf SoC, so it has a three second internal cooldown, that should balance their burst aswell! Or you could buff windfury to do elemental damage and increase it's proc rate to 25%. Alternatively you could simply take away the 3 second cooldown on windfury and place it serperately per hand (So each hand procs independantly of each other), then while it still does slightly more damage than SoC (Less on plate and sometimes mail however), they'll be balanced. I prefer the 3 second cooldown removal and placed on each hand seperately.

Also what the hell, why is the SoC glpyh increadible? 20% increased proc chance, now if it's additive, that's roughly 64% proc chance (3.6 speed of course) if it's multiplitive, then it's like 53%. Ours on the other hand adds 40% more bonus AP to our windfury procs, which would make an extra 500AP per windfury swing, on the max rank of windfury. I think it's safe to say an extra 20% chance to proc windfury, or hell an extra 9% chance to proc windfury is worth more than an extra 184 damage to our mainhand furies.

It's hard for me to reply point by point to very long posts, so I'll just say that I read it and just toss out a couple of comments:

Wind Shock does no damage because it's off the GCD. It's designed as an interrupt so it's definitely going to be harder to if it's on the GCD. Besides, you have Earth Shock that can already fill that role.

We don't want totems to be simple buffs like auras. There is no point in having totems then and really much of the distinction of the shaman class is just gone. They are not the kind of thing we are likely to move off the GCD since they can have powerful effects, including damage. We would like to make them a little easier to use however, especially when you want to move about a little.
