Can the realm forums be connected now if the realm itself is connected?

The EU has been connecting their realm forums for several months now going through various stages. When the realm connections for a cluster are deemed finished they do the following.

- Set the realm forums to 'Read Only' 2 weeks after the cluster connections are finished.
- Add a Cluster Realm forum 2 weeks after cluster connections are finished.
- Remove individual realm forums a month after cluster connections are finished.

Here's how it looks

or alternatively, here's a link to the EU English forums.

They've done this in the German, Spanish, French and Russian subsections of the forum too.

I understand that not all connections are finished, but many clusters are done as they reach High population every day. Consolidating the forums helps build up the community on these realms as they don't have to post their recruitment threads on every single connected realms forums.

We'll be looking into this at a future point in time, but we want to make sure that the connections are relatively "complete" before doing so.

Would you care to hint as to how long that will be?

Nope.

Neth, why is there even a difference between the EU and US forums?

I never understood why we don't have sections like, "Looking for Players - PVE" and "Looking for Players - PVP"?

We try to have things relatively similar between the regions, but it's to the discretion of each region in how they want to organize and run the forums for that region. That takes into consideration moderation needs and staffing as well along with whether the forum will serve the goals and needs of that particular community. Keep in mind, they also support multiple languages vs us only serving English. That makes a difference as well.

We'll keep everyone informed of any plans we have to implement connected realm forums though.
