Just my opinion---- Wrath will be unplayable for 90% under mid-quality PC users!!!
With current issue of serveve LAG / FPS degrading, I would expect that WRATH will be unplayable for all except those that have quality mid-range to very high end gaming systems. (at least duo core 2.8 w/512mb performance 3d gaming video just so you can get 20 fps)
From what I can gather, the graphics engine has been upgraded. However the trade off is, a very high percentage of users have been hammered with servere performance reductions.
you should reduce your video setting to the lowest and then work your way back up a little at a time.
All should turn off shadows and some of the very high demand features.
From a quick poll of random chats with various players in the outland and IF and other regions, all are experiencing the same performance hits.
users that had 50-60 fps are lucky to see 20fps
users with 30 are now under 18fps and in cities are under 5fps, (making it impossible to play for the freezing and locking of game)
When you log on, you will see a MOD stating thank you for your patience while we are working on the LAG issue... which is a massive understatment.
Ask around, it seems 90% of users are complaining. For many, they are unable to play and enjoy the game in its current state, so simply stopped logging in.
You can turn down the settings, reload and reset your system all you like, it will not resolve the server side problem. so dont hurt yourself too much thinking its your system since the patch.. it very likely if it worked fine before, thats its not your PC now. Just turn the settings and good luck.
I just want to throw out the warning to users, that your older systems and notebooks, regardless of what the marketing depts states, may not run this new graphics engine upgrade in its current form.
If you have having issue now, expect the same for WRATH.
