Let me preface this by saying I rarely ever post, and I have been reading the wotlk blue posts summarized on wotlk wiki, for months. I also read other forums ej, etc and also dont post. I am a guild leader on the underbad ( a very low pop server ) and have been enjoying wow with my friends and girlfriend for nearly two years now.

I also want to stress I love the game, and am so excited for wrath. I have no gripes to share here about the specifics of class mechanics.

My gripe is; other peoples griping and blizzard putting up with it.
This at first might appear to be a "fanboi" argument, but it is not.

I tihnk that blizzard and specifically Ghostcrawler's attitude towards the development process with the public is full of good intention but horribly inefficient.

How many posts do you make defending the things you have said, the changes made, the threads you post in, etc etc etc ?
What do you get out of these public forums that you couldn't get from them by just reading and being silent, observing the in-game data, or gathering from the internal development team and playtesters?

not only do I see your time here spent as a waste trying to be a very reasonable person among horribly unreasonable people accusing you of "lying" "slapping in the face" etc, but I think that your responses to these things, and your input in general only produces more of the same.

I feel this creates a larger noise to signal ratio if you will.

to summarize, I feel that observation is great, and these boards are good for interplayer communication (even if 95% of these posts are completely worthless), but I feel the energies of blizzard developers could be better spent interacting with more internal indications of the games status, and that this would also be better for the community, and eventually the outcome of the game.
Perhaps blizzard should invest in more internal controlled playtesting to replace the "feedback" from these boards?

We're going out of our way a little bit to try and point out the way we would like everyone to act on the 3 role forums in particular. We're asking for a little more maturity and responsibility here than we've typically tolerated on the forums in the past.

Once the community understands it a little better, you guys are pretty good at self-policing.

Things are a lot better already then they were last week. :)
