Acessible upon hitting revered with (frostwolf/stormpike).

The game would be the original Alterac valley, with all the original mobs back (the 90% the removed from the new AV). Land mines in the field of strife. Flying gryphons that really really hurt when they hit you, not that lame dynamite krap. Buffed NPC's, they way they used to be (mobs in AV are almost half as strong as they used to be). The Goblin shredder, and Korrak the Bloodrager would both be back, the Snowfall Graveyard would be neutral and owned by the trolls, who would all have to be dead before it would become capturable.

You get the idea. Blizzard has no excuse not to impliment this with the exception of laziness, after all, the original AV has already been made, they'd just have to reinstitute it, and make a 'key' item to be sold by the AV vendors.

After all, they use "Heroic" for the PVE instances, why not PVP as well.

This would enable the people who want to do the 'true' AV (aka 4-24 hour Battles for glory) and let the people who want Ez mode AV still keep there thing. Everybody wins.

Thoughts?

This is probably the best idea I ever seen in these forums in almost 3 years of World of Warcraft and im sure that many players share the same opinion.

A good idea because it would make everyone enjoy this battleground, honor farmers that want to race AV for fast points or people who just want to face the enemy in battlefield, PvErs or PvPers. Everyone would have fun!

It is the reason that make me post it on General Discussion Forum. Because I see a good activity of CMs here and an idea that have almost 2 threads broken with almost 100% of positive replies shouldn't be ignored. Please give us a feedback... say that you are just adressing it to devs and dont know if it will happen but at least let us know that this idea has been noticed by Blizzard.

Like the OP said, Blizzard already has implemented all these stuffs in AV. I dont think that the devs would have too much work to make it happens.

Lake Wintergrasp!

There's quite a few reasons why the old AV didn't work out too well, and probably still wouldn't, but say we thought it was an awesome idea...

Development time on reimplementing everything could be better spent on new and already scheduled content, such as the new battleground/arena/etc.

Would you rather have old AV and lose a siege weapon? Lessen how robust the new battleground could be? Have one less Northrend city and associated quests/rewards? Have a new or updated holiday be scratched? That's how it works. Even with a development team as large as ours there is a finite number of resources. Adding development time on something new/else means that the scheduled content is either delayed or just won't ever make it in.

In any case, Lake Wintergrasp in Northrend is intended to be the huge, epic, never ending battle.
