So Arcane Is Going Into WoTLK Broken? =(

You posted over two weeks ago that you were wrong about Arcane Blast, and that Arcane's dps was indeed fail. All the parses, and information we been giving you guys for months was ignored. Now we are less then two weeks away from WoTLK lauch, and Arcane is still a completely broken pve spec, and not competative.

Can you please for the love of god fix this spec in pve. By your standards (and they seem to change from day to day depending on the class you are talking to) Arcane should be doing the most DPS of any mage spec because it has the least utility (no winter's chill/improved scorch).

Many people want to play this spec. I leveled my mage to 70 recently for the sole purpose of playing my mage in pve as Arcane. You have admitted that you were wrong, and that the dps is definately not where it should be.

So I guess I am wondering when is this going to be fixed? Are we going to have to wait months before the spec is remotely viable in pve? I already have switched from my lock to my mage, because i can't stand the new affliction/destruction rotations, and lack of arena viability. Am I going to have to switch to my druid because yet another lvl 70 I have isn't viable? I raided all the way up to KJ with my elemental shaman and I have shelved him because of how awful they currently are.

I am seriously running out of class/specs that don't suck, so I implore you to please fix Arcane in PvE.

[Deleting all the trolling, QQ that only PvP matters and QQ that only PvP is discussed here.]

We think we know how to adjust Arcane to make their rotations work better in PvE (which will also help the PvP burst at the same time). It involves changing a couple of spells though so it will take some time and isn't the kind of thing easily hotfixed (as it will make tooltips incorrect).

We don't think Arcane is so broken that it's useless to take raiding. We just want to make the rotations a little smoother and perhaps bring up PvE damage a little bit.

If Arcane is overpowered at all, it is nowhere near to the level that Retribution was. Sorry. This isn't a contest to see who can get the least or most nerfs.

The degree to which I am talking about changing Arcane Blast wouldn't have been a couple of errors in the tooltip. It would have made the tooltip totally irrelevant for the spell, which would have confused a lot of players.
