Increases your resistance to all magic by 40 and allows 30% of your mana regeneration to continue while casting. In addition, the duration of all harmful Magic effects used against you is reduced by 50%. Only one type of Armor spell can be active on the Mage at any time. Lasts 30 min.

Are you really going to let this go live?

this is quite possibly the most over powered thing in game.

-effectively cuts DAMAGE in half (if i cast all my dots once, they will do < half damage)
-double's mana costs
-makes fear last 5 seconds MAX
-make death coil last 1.5 seconds max

Add in resilience and the 120 mages get, and you really screw over people who use dots

how is this still even in beta?

Please explain to me how this is fair...

Edit: let's not forget that mages can also remove the one type of spell not affected by mage armor... curses

Bump because Blizzard doesn't give a damn about warlocks and this is the biggest topic here, yet the avoid it like the plague

On the contrary, while much of the name calling is appropriate for 5th graders, it's actually an interesting thread. You have people on both side arguing their points. If this had just been in the warlock forum, the same classes would just be bumping it, frustrated that nobody from Blizzard came in and promised to nerf mages.

FWIW, Mage Armor is quite powerful, but it's a trade-off. It's going to make mages harder to kill by some classes but easier to others. That seems like a decent design, so then it just comes down to numbers. We'll keep an eye on it, but it's not something slated for an imminent nerf.
