Warlocks get unfair nerfs

Let's see, one I have seen my damage decrease... well at least with shadow spells, nothing with fire but seriously who wants to rely on fire spells? Also, Chaos Bolt has a horrible CD for a spell that only does twice the damage of a Shadow Bolt, yet I can get 5 Shadow Bolts in while in that time so Shadow Bolt > Chaos Bolt.

Let's see, DoTs oh yes now for some reason since the patch my DoT's can't do damage to their full extent because people manage to kill them faster then ever, only useful against bosses but that is bad since Affliction can't do it's main damage. Good job to the people wasting my mana ^^.

Oh Demonology? Oh no Soul Link got lowered to a earlier tier but WAIT! Soul Link got reduced from 20% to 15% that's a nerf. And for some reason Mages and Priests can kill Fel Hounds easily!

Blizzard may you tell me why this nerfs were fair but fixing the OP classes was out of the question? Seriously. I hope in patch 4.0 we get buffed to the point where every Warlock can't be beat solo and needs a group. If you go "OMG LOCKS R OP NERF" we'll use the "lollocks suck" excuse that we had back in 3.0 and Vanilla WoW. Won't that be a #**@@?

Chaos bolt is not meant to be a replacement for shadow bolt. Yes it does have a cooldown, but, when attempting to maximize DPS, we feel it's necessary for Warlocks to choose when best to use shadow bolt, soul fire, incinerate, and chaos bolt in the spell rotation.

I have noticed this somewhat myself when trying out affliction since 3.0.2. I think it's important to recognize though this shouldn't be as much of a predominant issue once players begin to level in Northrend. The survivability for players and creatures past level 70 will continue to significantly increase, while damage output increases will be far more gradual. As it currently stands in 3.0.2, affliction warlocks -- who generally don't work in terms of large crits and burst DPS -- kind of struggle when creatures in a given instance are brought down very quickly. We are aware of this.

With that said, there will be some scattered damage increases for warlocks in patch 3.0.3.

We have it slated for soul link to be back up to 20% in 3.0.3.

I think if you look around at the information we've provided about the current state of class balance and our immediate plans to address them, you'll see this is quite far from the case.

In any event balance remains a work in progress. There are several changes coming in 3.0.3 and we'll see how the classes fair as the leveling process begins in a couple of weeks.

I just don't know. :)

Oh come on are you that out of touch? Soulfire?

Not using soul fire would be making a choice in how best to maximize DPS in your spell rotation. This does not contradict what I've said here. If you catch me responding to too many threads about how I'm destroying all Elwynn rabbits with my amazing soul fire ability, I'll invite you to the office so we can both make use of an afternoon of shock therapy.

A thread only needs so much "no u suck" and "how dare you not respond to exactly the thread I wanted in exactly the manner I expect" to remain alive.
