I've taken the time recently to write up my thoughts and opinions on the current state of affairs for the PVP-DPS oriented shaman out there.
You can disregard me as another QQ'er if you must; I'm using my title and experience as clout, hoping this brings some credibility to the whining and complaining you're about to (if you choose) read.
I've been playing this game forever and have always played shaman class as my main. I rarely play resto, but I do have experience in the 2200+ brackets on my brothers' resto shaman.
I've got a 70 geared warrior alt and I play with some of the best players on Cho'gall, a well known and reputable PVP server within the also well known and competetive battlegroup Rampage.
I've hit gladiator every season playing enhancement and elemental... most recently in s4 my 5v5 team finished 1st place.
Anyway I just want to stress this is NOT an e-peen stroke, or a contest in anyway... like I said earlier, I only mention this to hopefully bring some credibility to what I have to say.
The following is a collection of my longer and more comprehensive posts, some can be interpreted differently than others, but I think the gist of what I want to get across is collected well within these posts. I apologize because some are hard to interpret out of context, but anyone more or less familiar with the class and it's perils will def be able to conjure up an image if nothing else for themselves.
