RAF expired EARLY!

At 20:08:10 server time today I was boosting my RAF characters through strat and getting "+ Refer-A-Friend" experience/rep bonuses.

At 20:10:01, about 20 minutes ago, those messages disappeared. (thank goodness for a chat timestamp addon)

My RAF expires (according to the website) on 11-4-08. It is 11-3-08 today. It is 8:26pm server time -- so clearly it is not yet 11-4-08. I should still be getting my RAF bonuses.

I had been trying to get my character to 60 so I can grant my levels to my alt on the "referer" account before my time expires. Since I noticed the RAF bonus had disappeared (early), I panicked and tried to log into my lowbie and grant as many levels as I can. When grouped with the lowbie, I can neither summon them nor grant them any levels.

I opened an in-game ticket but needless to say, I am a bit furious. The wait time to get a GM means that the deadline to finish getting my character to 60 and grant my levels to my alt is slowly disappearing. Between this and the downtime from the patch, I am concerned that my "free gift levels" will expire before I get to utilize them.

Furthermore, even though it's still 11-3-08 and my link, according to the website, still shows as "active", I can't USE any of the gift levels I earned to gift to my alt!! I can't even summon/gift to her if I WANTED to.

Can you please allow me the time that I rightfully have listed (since I have not yet expired my RAF link) to apply my nearly 60-some collected gift levels that I have stored? The website shows that I should be linked until 11-4-08, I was clearly linked 20 minutes ago, and I have planned my schedule around server downtimes (thanks to the patch -- by the way, thank you for the 3 extra days playtime credit since I wasn't able to play and utilize my RAF time much during that period) and the listed RAF expiry date.

The dates listed are in GMT. The RaF link was set to expire 11/04/2008 at 02:09:23 GMT, it is currently 11/04/2008 03:35 GMT. I apologize for the confusion, Kaboodle.

On my page it still shows that I am linked with the other account and doesn't mention anything about GMT, just 11/4/08.

I do understand that but it doesn't specify PST, EST, CST or any other time zone either. Most information is standardized into GMT and those are the times used usually unless stated otherwise.

If you believe you should be compensated in some way for this display confusion you are welcome to post in our Suggestion Forums. Please note that no time has been lost, the Recruit a Friend link was active for 90 days and that is exactly what was received.

I am sorry for any confusion this has caused though.

That isn't my problem and this isn't my website. This treatment is unfair considering ALL of us have gotten BLIZZARD more subscribers. This isn't exactly the customer service I was hoping for.

I understand what the issue is, unfortunately the Game Master Department is unable to assist in such matters; that is why I recommended the Suggestion Forums as the place to post so our Developers and Policy makes can review the thread.

Instead of responding with statements like these that just makes everyone discontent, you could just do something about your terrible display of information and demonstrate some customer service

PS: How is it standardized when every announcement I've seen from Blizzard specifically specifies PST (Of course I'm only talking about announcements that I've seen)

Please read the very first sticky in this forum, Mbison, the name is a bit misleading as we address in-game issues. We are not technicians or web designers nor are we liaisons with the Development team.

As you yourself stated, Mbison, the announcements you have seen specify PST.

At best this is a mistake and the RAF sound be extended for 1 more day until you publish this better or come up with a way to line up the RAF with servers time.

An excellent suggestion for the Suggestion Forums, Msgray. As I have said already the Game Master Department can not assist in this issue.

Please make levels grantable for a least some time after the linking stops - and some some email or in game msg reminders for everybody who isn't counting exactly 90 days

This is a request that the Game Master Department is unable to grant, Dlthehunter, I'm sorry. This system is automatic and thus we are unable to adjust it. If you wish to see changes to the system or the ability to adjust the link expiration please post in our Suggestion Forums.

Q u o t e:
ps: I have another account expiring 11/7 - can you please tell me what time exactly on 11/7 ?

bump

can we please get 3 days extension and end time displayed in account page or in game email

please escalate rather than send us to /dev/null^H^H^Hsuggestion forums

thanks

As I have already said, Ujz, the Game Master Department is unable to assist with this issue. The RaF system operates automatically, and as far as I know there is no way to extend the time frame on it. The system is actually under our Billing Departments jurisdiction and they may have additional information but I very much doubt they will be able to assist either.

If you want to see some sort of extension option please post in our Suggestion Forums.

I'm going to be locking this thread now. I will be unable answer additional questions regarding this and my responses thus seem to have gone ignored for the most part.
