As Ret, the only thing I ever wanted was...

...to be wanted.

In BC, I worked so hard to be an "effective" player. I had a swing timer so I could time my judgments just right. I was hit capped. I packed haste pots. I popped my wings and my bloodlust brooch only when Mongoose was actrive. etc. etc.

Still most 5 mans didn't care. Most raids didn't care. I had to get all my PVE Ret gear by healing or tanking.

Now we are finally getting some good utility as Ret, I honestly don't care if you nerf our DPS some. But please don't nerf us back to being jokes again!!!

Our goal is definitely that Ret do good damage in PvE settings (and PvP but this topic is on PvE I believe). We want Ret to get invited to groups, and we think they were not invited to groups enough in BC. Part of this is because of the way the buff stacking worked -- you typically only had one or maybe two melee groups, so it was hard to fit in both the buffers and the rogues into those groups. Paladins did fine dps when they made it in those groups (some have killed KJ after all), but it was hard to make them fit.
