Why I think this forum change may be good.

I'm not sold yet, by any means, but I think this forum change may have a positive effect on these forums beyond what was listed as the official change reasons.

Reduction in QQ - The class forums have become overrun with class QQ. Every class seems to think that they won't have a raid spot in wrath and that they are insufficient in PvP. The majority of responses to these posts are people in the same class reflecting the same concerns. Hopefully a fresh perspective will remove a lot of the 'the sky is falling' mentality.

Increase knowledge of other classes - While most people have pretty good knowledge of their "main" class, some people lack a fundamental understanding of how other classes work. Hopefully this will help the more casual raider/player get a better understanding of the other players around them.

Interclass cooperation - When people ask for buffs or nerfs it's usually done through a myopic lens. If people of various classes work together to give constructive feedback we will most certainly give better suggestions and hopefully get a better result. What I hope is not lost is the class specific expertise that class forums have.
