The Zombie Invasion, take it or leave it, was probably the most radically game changing event to happen in my time thus far. Everything was thrown out of whack. Many people, seeing the opportunity for carnage, took it upon themselves to constantly zombify and attack vulnerable areas, exploiting the possibilities for corruption and the limited forms of counter-measure. Many others fought against these rogue players. People like me fought the zombies where we could find them and, if you could, cleansed anyone they infected. I have never seen so many people working together for a cause for so long without reward. Players did not need a carrot to guide them along in this event, they saw an opportunity to do something different and fun and they took it. I am so glad that I didn’t switch over to Warhammer as I had been intending. Yes, there were problems. It wasn’t a perfectly executed event, but it was a learning experience for all parties involved, developers included. Mission accomplished as far as I’m concerned. Well done, Blizzard.
However, I have realized that I’ve gained more fun per dollar in the past two weeks than I have at any other point in time playing this game. This tells me that the dozens of other months I have been playing I have not been receiving a proper dollar :: fun ratio and I see this as an outrage. Therefore, I demand that I am immediately credited 1 full year of game time.
I will accept no less.
Edit: Okay, since round 1 versus Blue didn't pan out, here is a list of alternatives to the 1 year of game time.
1 - A paid internship working with the game designers, preference for the dungeons and raids team.
2 - 10 delicious cakes delivered to my residence over the next year.
3 - $180 cash. Simplicity is simple.
4 - Sunwell / Black Temple level gear sent to my Death Knight when the expansion launches so that my grind to 80 will be that much faster. His name will be Tuberculosis.
5 - Epic flying skill training for all my characters future and present.
6 - A weighted cube companion made personally for me and no one else.
Or hey, if those are not within the realm of possibility, that 1 year of game time is still on the table.
What'll it be, Blue?
