recruit a freind issues

so me and my friend were leveling today and were doing instances, we have 3x xp from mobs which is understandable, but the quests were not 3x xp and were normal. It's weird because i have leveled other alts with him and we got 3x xp for everything we did, and it's just now that we don't get them from quests. I lost valuable levels cause of this. and i want to level as fast and as much as i can before cata =(

If it is your friend who recruited you, Bomsamillon, the only reason I could think of is that you simply didn't have any levels available to grant.

At level 5 you should have 2 levels that you are able to grant to a qualifying character on the Veteran's account. I'd have to look further, though it seems that you may have been spending this time leveling so I'm not sure what you were at when the character was level 5.
