Are PvE players getting a credit?

Yeah, I rolled on a PvE server to avoid the infuriating aspects of PvP. So I've kinda decided not to play until this stupid zombie infestation is over. So... as I'm playing on the marked PvE realm and cant play because I can't stand PvP, will I and other PvE players going to get a few days credit?

Yes, I like everyone else have a level 70 on a PvP realm, but wanted to level up this toon. I'm perfectly aware that I could still play on PvP. The problem I'm having is that I'm having a whole aspect of the game being taken away from me for a few days, and am still paying for the whole game.

This isn't an interruption of service. This is a temporary event that's a part of the game for which you pay.

If I can't finish a quest because level 70 Zombies are camped around the quest giver, Can't use a bank because they've camped the bank, Land at an FP without being insta-killed, or do just about any part of the game but be killed and turned into a Zombie over and over its pretty much an interruption of game.

It's an interruption of things you want to remain stagnant. It's hardcore, but so is Arthas. It's how he rolls. And when he rolls, he rolls entire villages.

So... this IS an interruption to service?

No. The service is still there. It's content we've created that you don't like, but that's not the same thing.

There is such a thing as trying too hard.

Are you really going to stand by the position that everything NOT zombie in the entire World of Warcraft is stagnant? Seems like a startling admission to me, AND it explains why hunters have been broken in high-end PvP for the entire expansion -- stagnation.

You're taking my quote way out of context in an attempt to make an entirely unrelated point. It'd be cool if you didn't do that.

Not to be a fly in the ointment here... but how about the fact that guilds have not been able to raid or do instances for a whole week after the patch do to server instability and "Instance Not Found" Errors, or getting stuck in 'phased' shatt instances then warped into the middle of the sky above GM Island unable to move?

I would call those interruption of services, do I get my $30 back this month?

This is certainly an issue, but this isn't the thread for it.

I do also suggest reading the update regarding compensation for realm issues. We are continuing to work on these issues.

Urge..tomake..politicaljoke..overwhelming..

But seriously, we can't do nearly anything we could do that we liked doing, and every day the event just adds more ways to make it even more difficult to do what little we still can. I am sure that i would like this event much more if i was lvl 70 but as a lowbie, I just feel that my character is being victimized for the sake of the plot.

You do make a good point. I can only assure you it won't last long.

I have been waiting for you to fix hunters for the arenas since BC was released, yet rather than spend the dev team's time and effort on making PERMANENT improvements to the game content that will assist a large cross-section of the playerbase for the foreseeable future, the effort is made for fleeting content that will pass into the mists of time and leave behind a hunter class, still broken, still waiting to be viable in high-end PvP... and still waiting.

You're talking about two separate segments of the development team. Kirisani did not take time away from balancing your class to work on this event because she does not work on classes. There is an events team.

This thread is not about hunters. I ask once again that you not continue to post about unrelated issues to get my attention. The next time you have my attention in this thread it probably won't be wanted. :)

I never EVER thought this would rise up to be such an issue, but I hoped.

Sorry for the thread guys. Don't like the zombies but It's leaving me with no competition as I farm on my main ^^

That's the spirit.

There is one dev who works on holidays/events like this. One. I don't see how that's a terrible allocation of resources.

To be fair, I am part of an events team; I'm only one of a great group of people focused on events (not classes, not server stability, etc.)

We've been glued to the forums since this began and we're all very aware of the reaction, positive and otherwise. The event isn't long-lasting and an immense amount of talking over the time and impact of the event occurred for months prior to this. None of this has been unanticipated.

I'm sorry if you feel it's not gameplay you enjoy, but if you can't find an angle that's fun for you, it will be over relatively soon. :)

Bottom line, the game is unplayable to a large portion of the population, and is not enjoyable to a vast many more. We know you hear the complaints. Is something going to be done about it?

We're aware of all the feedback from all sides, and while we're keeping close tabs on the whole thing, the event will continue as planned.
