Blizzard always asks for our feedback.

I know mine won't make a bit of difference, Blizzard always asks for feedback and occasionally listens to it, but I don't think this will be one of those times. But I'm going to give my feedback anyway, in the hopes that maybe it will be considered in the future.

I hate this event. I hate this event so desperately that I'm having to talk myself out of canceling my account until it's over. The game is becoming unplayable. Important NPCs like auctioneers, bankers, innkeepers and questgivers are almost always dead before I can use them. I can't even fly around taking candy from the buckets for the achievement because almost as often as not, when I land the flightmaster is dead and I have to wait for him to respawn.

I'm thrilled that people are enjoying this event, I honestly am. And I agree that this is completely original and innovative, and Blizzard should really think outside the box like this more often. But it's making the game unplayable. Instead of doing all the things I'd like to be doing to get ready for Wrath, I'm stuck farming mobs. I can't go to major cities because I'll get attacked by other players (and I'm on a PvE server for a reason). I can't do dailies because most of the NPCs are permanently dead. Hallow's End has been ruined this year, and it's my favorite WoW holiday. There's literally nothing left to do except go off by myself somewhere and grind mobs for rep or vendor trash to sell.

I don't understand how anyone can consider that fun, but I'm glad people do. Obviously we don't all enjoy the same things, and up until now Blizzard has always done a fantastic job of giving the game lots of options so that different people can do what they enjoy. But now, you either play World of Zombies or you go off by yourself and grind. I loved WoW the way it was before, and for the first time in the history of this game, I'm truly hating it. The only consolation is that this will hopefully be ending soon and I can have fun again, but in the meantime I'm not having any fun. And right before an expansion is supposed to be a BLAST, getting ready and trying to do all the things you wanted at the last minute.

So, I really hope Blizzard takes my feelings and those of others who are also not enjoying this event into consideration, and I sincerely hope this is the last time we ever have to deal with an event like this. I'm sure I'm going to get told that I don't know how to have fun, that I hate new things, that I'm "QQ"ing or whining or whatever. I've tried to be as respectful as possible for other people's opinions in this post. I only ask that in future events, I'm not FORCED to participate. And at the very least I'd ask that they be scheduled better so as to not overlap an ingame holiday. I've been looking forward to Hallow's End all year and now I feel like it's been ruined by this zombie thing.

I just hope someone at Blizzard reads this and cares about my opinion at all.

TL;DR: Sorry, I don't do TL;DRs. Either read the whole post or whine about how you don't like to read. I'm not going to idiot-proof my post for you.

We do appreciate the feedback; if threads are being deleted, it's because the moderators are trying to keep things consolidated and constructive, not because they seek to stifle dissenters.

As I have stated, if this was planned to last any longer than it is, we would have been a great deal more leery of the wide-reaching effects of the plague. This has been anticipated; I respect the concept that some people dislike it and we'll certainly take that into account, but this was an event meant to impact players in all walks of life and routines. I am in no way stating it was perfect, and should we do something like this again the feedback both for and against will be taken into account when changes are made, particularly pertaining to lower level players. This event absolutely was meant to shake up the status quo of the average WoW day, and in that it's been successful.

It will still continue as planned, but for those of you less than fond of the plague, you don't have much longer to wait.
