Q u o t e:
They are told to stop complaining and suck it up.
Q u o t e:
People who write long insulting remarks about them full of vulgarities are not discouraged in any way.
The forum guidelines remain the same regardless of one's opinion. I've deleted plenty of threads and suspended plenty of people on both sides of the issue.
Q u o t e:
Blizzard refuses to give them any information as to when the not-fun-for-me will stop.
We'd like to see how things pan out since more is to come. We're sticking with that because we think it is a cool, temporary event.
Q u o t e:
Blizzard staff tell them that they're wrong to think this is in any way unfun and that they should love it and appreciate it.
I've read just about every blue post about the event since it started and feel your word choice and method of paraphrasing are poor, as this is not true.
Q u o t e:
Do you understand that it is possible for a person who is not you to genuinely not think this is the "fun" kind of spontenaity?
Yep. I said this last night.
Q u o t e:
Given that, can you see why people would be unhappy that a thing they consider essential to their fun is being taken away from them for an undisclosed period of time (and I've never seen a Blizzard rep deny claims that it's the next two weeks or so) and all they ever get told is "it's fun, you should like it"?
We never said you
should like it. Again, the fact that your words are not chosen words carefully makes it difficult for me to address a question based on a false premise. We only asked that players give it a chance and try to have fun with it while it lasts. You will be able to return to your normal activities within days, not weeks.
Either way the event will play out as planned.
