What did you expect? I mean, a vast amount of magic power is used to relocate an entire city, and you expect them to leave a park behind? They don't have time for such clean up!
Hrm...maybe there needs to be a movement, "Clean up Dalaran" and some signs put up, "No Dumping". ;)

I'm just happy that they did something about it and not what you said could happen.
You told us that perhaps what would be left on Dalaran's old spot is the same barrier, but then as some sort of illusion. I was sooo not looking forward to that. Blizzard creates an awesome game, but that would have been developers being very lazy.
There were a lot of different ideas going around about what to do, but in the end, I think this one really puts a dent in the world. (I know, such a bad pun.)

*Not to imply that the world's most powerful mages couldn't take Dalaran out of the world if they wanted... please don't sheep me...
