Honestly?

Knowing what's to come, watching the forums descend into madness. It's gotta be a blast for you.

Also the foreboding blue posts that you KNOW everyone will read, because it's blue.

Come on. Be honest.

Nothing is going to happen. This event is boring and sucks. It stops being fun the second time you infect/cleanse someone.

A lot of fun.

Don't listen to him! We don't have fun here! Why would we do that? Down with fun!

so am I, how are you?

Fine and dandy.

That's an old-fashioned one, isn't it? You say to a guy, "how are ya?" He says, "fine and dandy." Not me. I never say that. You know why? Because I'm never both those things at the same time. Sometimes I'm fine. But I'm not dandy. I might be close to dandy. I might be approaching dandy. I might even be in the general vicinity of dandyhood. But not quite fully dandy. Other times, I might indeed be highly dandy. However, not fine. One time, 1978. August. For about an hour. I was both fine and dandy at the same time. But nobody asked me how I was. I coulda told 'em, "fine and dandy!" I consider it a lost opportunity.

Did you try to play before patch 3.0.2? There where no groups for anything. Nobody was raiding. There was nothing going on.

It was a massive boring slump. So all you people need to act like you've got something more important to do, you do not. If you did, you would have bothered to play last month. The only reason anyone has been doing anything is for achievements and you know that. Blizzard FINALLY gives us something else interesting to do, and you complain cause you can't do the crap you weren't doing anyway.

It is a little surprising that people are adamant about continuing with their normal World of Warcraft activities when a very significant piece of lore is called upon once again to set the tone for the next expansion. I can understand that there are inconveniences this event may be causing people.

With that said, I don't believe it's very fun or engaging if the scourge plague is introduced into the game with absolutely no inconvenience to players. The event will only be around for a very limited amount of time. I strongly suggest just trying to have a little bit of fun with it while it lasts. Your regularly scheduled programming will commence in due time.

Keep in mind too, the scourge virtually wiped out entire kingdoms with the plague. I can't imagine how one could be captivated by the storyline of Warcraft III, yet assume that Silvermoon quest givers and flight masters would always be conveniently unaffected by the infection plaguing the city for those questing in the area during Arthas's invasion.

This is very well put - that's exactly the impression I am getting from them. Plus the smartass remarks to those that diagree with their "Vision(tm)", of course.

I notice a lot of posts being deleted - ones that are critical of Blizz and their event - what a surprise (not).

Unless there are scores of threads on the front page with very similar topics, the posts are inflammatory, harassing, or vulgar in nature, or the post is made in an effort to troll others, we are not deleting posts critical of the event.
