Crocolisks in the City and Old Crafty

So, I saw Maaven's post saying that this isn't a bug and it doesn't work, but I am *positive* there is something fishy (bad pun, sorry) about this.

1. Get Crocolisks in the City daily quest
2. Form a raid group.
3. Go to Orgrimmar and start fishing

2 is optional, but it makes it somewhat less annoying. If you don't have the baby croc in your inventory (which you can't get in a raid), you'll catch Old Crafty incredibly fast. Someone on our realm forum caught 15 Old Crafty's in a span of 10 mins, including 5 in a row while they had this quest active. 5 of my guild members got it within 5 mins of each other.

Also, it seems that, since 3.0.2, you always catch the fishing daily fish on the first cast as a "bonus" fish. Maybe there's some interaction between the loot tables and the fishing daily quest?
