Banning for linking to Gamespot?!

Yesterday I got a 24 hour ban for linking to a particular Gamespot news article with the reason "Banned for posting links to hacks, cheats, trojan horses, or malicious programs."

Um, how can linking to a reputable gaming news site be cause for a ban? What ToS article does it fall under, because Gamespot may be many things but it's not a hack, cheat, trojan horse, or malicious program (according to any reasonable person anyway).
