    • Final Sentence (Kyrian Runecarving Power) now grants 4% damage per stack (was 3%), duration reduced to 15 seconds (was 18 seconds), and now grants the Rune and Damage buff on the initial cast of Shackle the Unworthy (and again each time it spreads).

    • Abomination Limb (Necrolord Ability) damage increased by 20%.
    • Abomination’s Frenzy (Necrolord Runecarving Power) now increases enemy damage taken from the Death Knight by 20% (was 10%), and enemies affected by Abomination’s Frenzy now also take increased damage from your Minions for the duration.
    • Convocation of the Dead (Conduit) now reduces the cooldown of Apocalypse by 1 second per Festering Wound burst at all ranks and now also increases Festering Wound damage by 15%.
    • Eternal Hunger (Conduit) increases Minion damage by 6% (was 3%).
    • Embrace Death (Conduit) causes Sudden Doom to increase Death Coil damage by 40% (was 35%).
    • Brutal Grasp (Conduit) increases Abomination Limb damage by 30% (was 15%).
    • Fixed an issue with Killing Machine that caused it to trigger less often than intended while Dual Wielding.
    • Class Sets
      • Blood
        • 4-piece: When you take damage, you have a chance equal to 100% of your Parry chance to lash out, Heart Striking your attacker. Dancing Rune Weapon now summons 2 Rune Weapons.
      • Unholy
        • 4-piece: Soul Reaper now grants 25% damage (was 20%) from minions below 35% health.
        • 4-piece: Now grants the Death Knight the Harvest Time buff if the enemy dies while Soul Reaper is active on them before it explodes.
  • Demon Hunter
    • Sinful Brand (Venthyr Ability) can no longer be overwritten by a lower duration Sinful Brand when applied via Metamorphosis.
    • Class Sets
      • Havoc
        • 2-piece: Increases Blade Dance and Chaos Strike damage by 20%. This bonus also applies to Death Sweep and Annihilation while in Metamorphosis.
        • 4-piece: Reworked – Every 60 Fury you consume reduces the cooldown of Metamorphosis by 1 second.
      • Vengeance
        • 4-piece: Consuming a Lesser Soul Fragment reduces the remaining cooldown of your Immolation Aura or Fel Devastation by 1 second.
  • Druid
    • Kindred Affinity’s (Kyrian Runecarving Power) stat bonus for the Druid reduced to 6% (was 8%) and the stat bonus for their partner reduced to 3% (was 8%).
    • Sinful Hysteria (Venthyr Runecarving Power) now increases the duration of Ravenous Frenzy by 0.1 second with each application (was 0.2 seconds) and you will not be overcome by Frenzy for 3 seconds after it ends (was 5 seconds).
      • Developers’ note: We are currently workshopping Sinful Hysteria to bring it in line with other legendaries available for Druids. Future builds may see additional changes to Sinful Hysteria so we invite any and all feedback to ensure the spirit of this legendary remains intact.
    • Restoration
      • All healing abilities increased by 10%.
      • All damage abilities increased by 10%.
      • Lifebloom healing over time increased by 12% and bloom heal increased by 20%.

      • Germination (Talent) now has an additional effect – Rejuvenation duration increased by 2 seconds.
    • Class Sets
      • Feral
        • 4-piece: Now deals reduced damage beyond 8 targets.
        • 4-piece: Damage done reduced by 65%.
          • Developers’ note: This adjustment is pretty heavy so we wanted to explain why this is necessary. Sickle of the Lion’s damage was set too high due to a bug that caused external power increases, such as Mastery and abilities that enhance Feral’s rotation, to double dip and even triple dip into those benefits. The damage reduction reflects the removal of those repeat benefits and bringing the damage in line with other set bonuses. We are watching feedback closely and will adjust, even post launch, if the need arises. Thank you for testing and providing feedback, we genuinely appreciate the support!
      • Guardian
        • 4-piece: Damage done reduced by 32% and healing done reduced by 25%.
      • Restoration
        • 2-piece: Reworked – Healing from Rejuvenation has a 25% chance to grant Renewing Bloom, healing 356 over 8 seconds. Swiftmend can consume Renewing Bloom.
        • 4-piece: Reworked – Every 3 casts of Swiftmend grants you Incarnation: Tree of Life for 9 seconds.
  • Hunter
    • The following beneficial effects will now show up above the player’s resource display: Bestial Wrath, Coordinated Assault, Steady Focus, and Trueshot.
    • Class Sets
      • Survival
        • Fixed several issues that caused the damage from the set bonuses to be higher than intended.
  • Mage
    • Harmonic Echo (Kyrian Runecarving Power) now also echoes the damage to the primary target affected by Radiant Spark’s Vulnerability.
    • Frost
      • Comet Storm (Talent) no longer removes Winter’s Chill.
      • Frozen Orb damage reduced by 8%.
      • Blizzard damage reduced by 5% and reduces the cooldown of Frozen Orb by 0.25 seconds each time Blizzard deals damage (was 0.5 seconds).

    • Class Sets

        • 4-piece: Reworked – Touch of the Magi’s duration is increased by 4 seconds and 25% mana regeneration for 12 seconds.
      • Fire
        • 4-piece: Fire Blast and Phoenix Flames now recharge 50% faster while Combustion is active (was 100%).

    • Class Sets
      • Brewmaster
        • 4-piece: Reworked – Keg Smash deals an additional 50% damage, heals you for 66% of damage dealt, and grants 66% of damage dealt as maximum health for 10 seconds.
          • Developers’ note: We pivoted Brewmaster to a new bonus that has more impact. This new 4pc bonus offers easy-to-access power, but savvy players who maximize the damage dealt by their Keg Smash will be able gain additional benefits from the healing and maximum health bonuses.
      • Mistweaver
        • 2-piece: Essence Font Healing increased by 5% in addition to the duration extension.
          • Developers’ note: Due to overlapping, this wasn’t increasing heal throughput as much as we’d like. Adding some additional love for Essence Font so the bonus is X.
        • 4-piece: Drinking Thunder Focus Tea with the bonus active no longer interrupts Soothing Mists.
  • Paladin
    • Ashen Hallow (Venthyr Ability) healing reduced by 15% for all specializations.
    • Ashen Hallow (Venthyr Ability) can now be canceled early by pressing its button again.

      • Cosmic Ripple (Talent) has been moved and replaces Binding Heal (Talent) on row 40.

        • 4-piece: Your Shadow’s Torment Mind damage has been reduced by 40%.
  • Rogue
    • Class Sets

    • Elemental Conduit (Venthyr Runecarving Power) now also reduces the cooldown of Chain Harvest (Venthyr Ability) by 1 second when Flame Shock critically strikes.
    • Flame Shock now has a target cap of 6.
    • Frost Shock damage increased by 40%.
    • Unruly Winds (Conduit) chance to trigger is now 15% to 50% based on item level (was 20% to 35%).
    • Magma Fist (Conduit) additional critical strike chance is now 12% to 37.2% based on item level (was 15% to 25%).
    • Focused Lightning (Conduit) damage or healing increase is now 5% to 12% based on item level (was 1% to 4.5%).
    • Chilled to the Core (Conduit) chance to trigger is now 30% to 72% based on item level (was 21% to 35%).
    • Elemental
      • Icefury (Talent) now causes your next 4 Frost Shocks to deal 225% increased damage (was 300%).
      • Fire Elemental has had the mana cost of its abilities reduced by 90% and should no longer run out of mana.
    • Enhancement
      • If you Lava Lash a target that has Flame Shock on them, Lava Lash will now spread Flame Shock to up to 3 nearby enemies in an 8 yard radius. If all enemies in the area are already affected with Flame Shock, it will refresh the duration of Flame Shock instead.
      • Feral Spirit no longer shows up under the unit frame “totem timers” slots. This is to prevent too many Spirits in conjunction with other summons overflowing these slots and despawning the Spirits prematurely.
      • Ice Strike (Talent) and Sundering (Talent) can now properly cause the Flametongue weapon damage effect.
      • Ice Strike and Sundering are no longer able to used while disarmed.

      • Windfury Totem mana cost reduced to 1.5% base mana (was 12%).
    • Class Sets
      • Enhancement
        • 4-piece: Fixed an issue that prevented the duration extension to Storm Elemental or Fire Elemental from triggering.
      • Restoration
        • 2-piece: Reworked – Your critical healing increases the critical chance of your next Chain Heal by 2%, stacking up to 50 times.
          • Developers’ note: This includes periodic healing and proc’ed healing, so it should stack up pretty quickly from Healing Rain and Riptide ticks as well as any other healing you’re doing. This is intended to push you to really want to cast Chain Heal every now and then, but otherwise not feel like you need to spam Chain Heal to get value out of it. More of an ebb and flow feeling than the previous 2-piece.
        • 4-piece: Reworked – Your Chain Heal critical hits reduce the remaining cooldown of one of your totems by 2 seconds. Your Healing Stream Totem, Healing Tide Totem, Mana Tide Totem, and Spirit Link Totem now also cast Chain Heal when you drop them.
          • Developers’ note: Any totem that’s on cooldown is currently a valid choice for the cooldown reduction effect. The Chain Heal is currently cast by you, not by the totem, but the intent is for the visual to end up shooting from the totem.
  • Warlock
    • Summon Succubus has been replaced with Summon Sayaad – Randomly summon your Incubus or Succubus. Warlocks may speak to the Warlock trainers in Stormwind or Orgrimmar to enact a pact with their Incubus or Succubus, ensuring that only they are summoned.
    • Summon Sayaad
      • Seduction (Pet Ability) now causes the target to slowly walk towards the demon. It now also has a chance to break on damage taken, rather than always breaking on the first instance of damage.
      • Whiplash (Pet Ability) now also causes enemies to take 1% increased damage from the Succubus or Incubus each time it strikes, stacking up to 10 times. Duration increased to 15 seconds (was 10 seconds).
    • Contained Perpetual Explosion (Venthyr Runecarving Power) now caps the amount of bonus periodic damage it provides at 275% when hitting 10 additional targets.
    • Class Sets
      • Affliction
        • 2-piece: When Malefic Rapture extends Absolute Corruption, it instead causes the target to take damage equivalent to a tick of Corruption.
        • 4-piece: Drain Soul’s chance to trigger a free Malefic Rapture has been increased to 10% (was 4%).
      • Demonology
        • 4-piece: Malicious Imps no longer grant a Demonic Core and no longer grant a Soul Shard when slain. Malicious Imp damage has been increased and chance to summon a Malicious Imp has been increased to 15% per Soul Shard spent (was 5%).
      • Destruction
        • 2-piece: The chance to trigger the effect is no longer random. Chaos Bolt or Rain of Fire can now be cast for free after every 10 Soul Shards are spent.
        • 4-piece: Name changed from Blasphrit to Blasphemy and now summons a Blasphemy Infernal instead of a generic Infernal. If a Blasphemy Infernal is already active and would be summoned again, its duration is extended by 8 seconds instead and does impact damage at its current location. Additionally, Blasphemy grants Rain of Chaos for his duration if it’s talented.
  • Warrior
    • Class Sets
      • Arms
        • 2-piece: Reworked – Colossus Smash lasts 3 seconds longer and increases your damage dealt to affected enemies by an additional 5%.
        • 4-piece: Reworked – Tactician has a 50% increased chance to trigger against enemies with Colossus Smash and causes your next Overpower to grant 2% Strength, up to 8% for 15 seconds.
      • Fury
        • 4-piece: Now appropriately grants Crushing Blow and Bloodbath when Reckless Abandon is talented, and no longer grants 50 Rage when Recklessness triggers while Reckless Abandon is talented.
      • Protection
        • 2-piece: Outburst no longer increases the effectiveness of your next Ignore Pain, and instead now causes your Shield Slam or Thunderclap to grant a free Ignore Pain.
        • 4-piece: Avatar no longer consumes Seeing Red stacks and instead directly grants Outburst.

COVENANTS

  • Soulbinds
    • Venthyr
      • The root effect from Nimble Steps (Nadjia the Mistblade) now properly breaks when enough damage is taken.

DUNGEONS AND RAIDS

  • New Raid: Sepulcher of the First Ones
    • Deep in the Sepulcher of the First Ones lies the key to unlock the Jailer’s plans. Gather the power of the First Ones as you pursue Zovaal into the Sepulcher and fight through his forces—but first, you must face Anduin, and discover a way to resist the Jailer’s terrifying Domination magic.
  • Mists of Tirna Scithe
    • Drust Spiteclaw’s Bloodletting now has a minimum range, and is only used on players at least 10 yards away.
    • Drust Spiteclaw’s Dying Breath now has a much smaller area of effect. A warning visual and delay has been added to allow time to play around it.
    • Dying Breath debuff duration reduced to 20 seconds (was 30 seconds), and is no longer automatically removed upon leaving combat.
      • Developers’ note: We hoped to see Dying Breath used for high-risk/high-reward plays, but players have found that the risk generally outweighed the reward. This update should make the risk more manageable & make the ability more interesting to play around.
  • Tazavesh, the Veiled Market
    • Now separated into two dungeons on Heroic and Mythic+ difficulties: Streets of Wonder and So’leah’s Gambit.
    • Mythic 0 difficulty will continue to be the full mega-dungeon experience, but for those who’d wish to skip deeper into the dungeon, Ta’piks will provide a teleport for quick travel.
    • Hylbrande
      • Players no longer channel on the Titan Console to view the Bypass Code, instead click the Titan Console to gain a debuff named Titanic Insight. Titanic Insight allows the player to see signs on the Titan Console for 15 seconds, but now you will be able to move and engage during the stage. The Titan Console can only be accessed by a single player every 15 seconds.
  • Mythic+
    • Affixes
      • New Seasonal Affix: Encrypted – Enemies throughout the dungeon possess relics of the First Ones. Destroy the relics to summon the First Ones’ Automa and gain powerful bonuses, based on the order in which they were destroyed.

  • Progenitor Armor Set
    • Collect your class armor set from defeating bosses in the Sepulcher of the First Ones raid and from the Great Vault to unlock 2-piece and 4-piece set bonuses that power certain abilities for your specialization.

PROFESSIONS

  • Many skinnable, mineable, and gatherable enemies can now be skinned, mined, and gathered by all the players who engaged with the enemy and have the correct gathering skill.
    • Developers’ note: In order to help make “skinning” (skinning, mining, and herb gathering of enemies) a more group friendly experience, we have adjusted skinning rules. The majority of “skinnable” enemies will now following the normal tapping rules, and be skinnable by everyone who engaged with them and has the ability to skin them. Some weaker and very specific enemies can still only be skinned once, while some rare and powerful enemies will be skinnable by everyone who engages them and is capable.

  • Death Knight
    • Final Sentence (Kyrian Runecarving Power) now grants 4% damage per stack (was 3%), duration reduced to 15 seconds (was 18 seconds), and now grants the Rune and Damage buff on the initial cast of Shackle the Unworthy (and again each time it spreads).
    • Rampant Transference (Night Fae Runecarving Power) Strength per stack of Death’s Due increased by 3% (was 2%).
  • Mage
    • Harmonic Echo (Kyrian Runecarving Power) now also echoes the damage to the primary target affected by Radiant Spark’s Vulnerability.
    • Frost
      • Comet Storm (Talent) no longer removes Winter’s Chill.
    • Class Sets
      • Arcane
        • 4-piece: Reworked – Touch of the Magi’s duration is increased by 4 seconds and 25% mana regeneration for 12 seconds.
      • Frost
        • 2-piece: Removed the requirement to be in Icy Veins to trigger Comet Storm.
  • Monk
  • Paladin
    • Class Sets
      • Protection
        • 4-piece: Fixed an issue which prevented Glorious Purpose from casting Judgment.
  • Shaman
  • Warrior
    • Class Sets
      • Arms
        • 2-piece: Reworked – Colossus Smash lasts 3 seconds longer and increases your damage dealt to affected enemies by an additional 10%.
        • 4-piece: Reworked – Tactician has a 50% increased chance to trigger against enemies with Colossus Smash and causes your next Overpower to grant 4% Strength, up to 20% for 15 seconds.

Hello everyone :smiley_cat:
Here are this week’s PTR notes:

CLASSES

  • Death Knight
    • Class Sets
      • Unholy
        • 4-piece: Now grants the Death Knight the Harvest Time buff if the enemy dies while Soul Reaper is active on them before it explodes.
  • Druid
    • Class Sets
      • Feral
  • Mage
    • Frost
      • Frozen Orb damage reduced by 8%.
      • Blizzard damage reduced by 5% and reduces the cooldown of Frozen Orb by 0.25 seconds each time Blizzard deals damage (was 0.5 seconds).
      • Icy Propulsion’s (Conduit) cooldown reduction can now only occur every 0.35 seconds.
  • Monk
    • Bountiful Brew (Necrolord Runecarving Power) now extends the duration of Bonedust Brew if it triggers while a target is currently afflicted by Bonedust Brew.
  • Priest
    • Class Sets
      • Discipline
        • 2-piece:
          • Freely cast Shadow Mends grant 2 extra seconds of Atonement to the target, up to 16 seconds total.
          • The duration of Manifested Twilight has been increased to 20 seconds (was 10 seconds).
          • Shadow Mend no longer consumes all stacks of Manifested Twilight.

DUNGEONS AND RAIDS

  • Tazavesh, the Veiled Market

The PTR has been updated with the following change to Frost Mage:

CLASSES

  • Mage
    • Frost
      • Reverted the recent change that added an internal cooldown to the Icy Propulsion conduit.
      • Frozen Orb damage reduced by 12% (was 8%).
      • Blizzard damage reduced by 12% (was 5%) and reduces the cooldown of Frozen Orb by 0.25 seconds each time Blizzard deals damage (was 0.5 seconds).
        • Developers’ note: After further consideration we will be reverting the Icy Propulsion internal cooldown (ICD) change and instead further reduce the damage of Frozen Orb and Blizzard. Our goal with the initial change to the internal cooldown was to help curb some of the power it’s gained over the expansion from other bonuses and changes such as the uncapping of Frozen Orb, the upcoming tier set bonus, and ilvl increase of the conduit itself. However, we recognize that the Icy Veins uptime it has provided as the expansion progressed is something that Frost Mages have grown accustomed to and losing that power in 9.2 will end up feeling like a regression in both performance and enjoyment of how the spec plays.
