I just watched the Blizzcon PVP panel videos on Youtube, and I am DISGUSTED by the attitude of the developers towards balancing classes. Please note that this is NOT about the OPness of warlocks, I"m merely using warlocks as an example to demonstrate Blizzard's ignorance towards PVP balance of difference scales
The said videos, a series of 7:

Tom Chilton basically said, it's OK warlocks are OP in 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3, as long as they aren't over represented in 5v5, we have no plans of fixing them.
Tom Chilton said Warlocks are "supposed to be the most powerful class in duels and 1v1 pvp, but WoW pvp is not about dueling". Well for starters, most of the world PVP encounters ARE one on one, and what balance is there if one class can dominate another class entirely due to poorly designed class mechanism? Most players don't get to play 5v5 arenas, and their only PVP encounters are from fighting similar leveled players of the other faction in the questing zone.
Secondly, Tom Chilton said Warlocks' power in one on one CARRIES OVER to 2v2 and 3v3 in Arenas, but because Warlocks aren't over represented in 5v5, this is acceptable too. Well news flash Mr. Chilton, 2v2 and 3v3 Arena teams, although not as much as 5v5, get arena ratings too. So why should points earned in a unbalanced PVP bracket be redeemed for the top items in the game? It simply defies all logic, but he brushes it off so casually like it is of no concern.
Last but not least, Tom Chilton said "I tried the "HUTER THING", and just couldn't do it." This is solid evidence that the lead designers don't play the hunter class at all and has no idea how the core mechanism of the class is flawed and has no plans to look into it. Frankly this is a huge insult to the hunter class, even Blizzard lead designers think the class is a joke.
