This application has encountered a critical error:

Program: C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe

Failed to read file creature\arakkoa\arakkoa_warrior.m2.

Debug Details:

[2] err=0 text=SFileReadFile - creature\arakkoa\arakkoa_warrior.m2 - Data\expansion.MPQ
[1] err=0 text=ReadSectors/DecompressData failed
[0] err=0 text=ReadSectors/DecompressData failed

I disabled mods, same problem. Got on alts that had no arrakoas nearby and I had no problems.. I think if I go anywhere near an Arrakoa I crash. I was in Shatt headed toward IF portal and anytime I try and log on to that char I crash. Once again, all my other chars in diff locations are fine. It isn't a mod issue.

Can anyone please help me?!

Hi Drachemorder,

One of the creatures being loaded as you log on is crashing the game. The server has no bearing on this crash as it's purely client-side data. The server may have spawned some in your area before it loaded as mobs gets respawned after a restart. Try going into the World of Warcraft folder and run the Repair utility. It should attempt to fix that model.

Q u o t e:
I'm getting this problem on a daily basis. I have already made a backup copy of my wow folder because It wil sometimes say the file is too damaged to repair and I have to reinstall.

Did you try to take a look at all of your logs? Is it the same file or different ones every time? I assumed the OP's crash is just that specific model so that's something the repair utility will easily fix. If it's a random file, I'll lean towards something else.
