Ongoing Realm Issues - 10/21

Good afternoon, everyone—

New day, new thread. =)

We are presently aware of ongoing issues affecting multiple realms and will continue to monitor the stability of each throughout the day.

At present, we've identified issues with the following battlegroups:

Reckoning
Cyclone
Ruin
Vindication
Bloodlust
Rampage
Shadowburn
Stormstrike
Nightfall
Whirlwind

Once more, our Realm Technicians are currently looking into this influx of latency and instability and are attempting to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Please keep all related discussion isolated to this thread.

You all have my apologies for any seeming lack of communication regarding this issue, however, please do not take my — or our — silence as a hint that we are not paying attention to these issues.

We're certainly aware of the situation and continue to monitor it, as well as pass along the information provided by you herein. Thank you all for your continual stream of information regarding what you've been experiencing.

We do not have an ETA, or any specific updates at this time. When we have an update, we will certainly provide it.

Again, please do not take any lack of response as our ignoring the issue; we're simply reading and documenting any issues that you bring to our attention and passing it along accordingly.

I know that you guys are tired of hearing the same responses over and over again. However, as we've stated previously, we'll provide an update when we have one. Until that point in time, you may not hear anything specific.

I realize that you would like them more often, and more informative; you're receiving all of the information that we have available to us at this point in time. If we had any specific ETAs, you would be informed accordingly.

While specific information regarding resolutions may not be provided, I can assure you that as soon as we hear anything more we would let you know.

A lot of you are asking for information — which is totally understandable, and we would like to be able to provide it — that is unavailable at this point, so when you ask for an update and enough time has passed since the last one I may let you guys know that nothing has changed as of yet. This also means that the updates will likely not include any additional information until such time as we hear something beyond what is already known.

Unfortunately, asking for additional information when it is not available is going to result in an answer that we understand will likely be unsatisfactory, and we're very sorry for that. I wish to extend my sincerest apologies that these issues have transpired for as long as they have and I hope that we are able to resolve them soon.

Please keep us posted on any additional information you may have gleaned and experienced in relation to these various realm issues; it's certainly appreciated.

Hey all —

I've been informed that some steps are being taken to address the overlying issues related to realm instability. As such, it is possible that restarts will be necessary in order to address some of the recent issues; we will let you know as soon as possible, if and when you can expect them.

The notice came earlier than expected!

We are currently in the process of restarting all realms this evening to address multiple issues. We appreciate your patience during this time, and should have all restarts completed quickly.
