Mounts and Vanity Pets - UPDATED!

Update:

If you are still missing a pet or a mount, please submit an in-game petition at your earliest convenience.

Greetings all —

As you are all surely aware, we're very familiar with the issue regarding missing Mounts and Vanity Pets. We're currently working on a resolution which should be executed in the near future. Please remain patient while we address this issue.

For the time being, please hold off on submitting petitions as we may not require you to do so in order to resolve the issue for you. If we do end up needing petitions to be created, we will provide the appropriate update and ask you to submit individual tickets.

As mentioned by Nethaera:
Q u o t e:
It is only conflicting if you don't take into account that the message from Claudiog was posted yesterday. Information does change and the GMs have many issues they are trying to take care of for players. Again, petitioning at this point in time is not necessary since we are working on a process to resolve missing pets and mounts. Should we need players to submit petitions, we'll make sure to let everyone know specifically what they would need to petition on and how the GMs will be able to help them further.

In addition:
Q u o t e:
During the initial instability, some players experienced a loss of mounts or pets after attempting to add them to the new mount and pet interface. We have since resolved this issue and will continue to replace lost mounts and pets for players who have experienced this problem.

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=11296519866&sid=1&pageNo=1

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

UPDATE: <6:55PM PDT>

The resolution we have been working on is starting to go through. Please check your in-game mail over the next day or so and you should receive something there.

Of note, some may receive in-game mails immediately, and some may receive them sometime tomorrow. We would like to thank you for your patience in this matter, and hope that everyone's issue is resolved.

Please follow the instructions in the in-game mail that is sent for further assistance if needed.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If you have not yet received an in-game mail, please note that it may take until later this evening to receive it. If you have already received your in-game mail and are missing a couple of pets and/or mounts, please submit an in-game petition regarding the issue.

Whooops, its the end of the day and its quitting time. Heading home for the evening, maybe we'll have something by tomorrow so stop bothering us! (Whew, lets get to friday so we can ignore them on the weekend, maybe they'll forget by monday!)

I'm still here for... oh... another 7 hours. ^_^

While I do not have any specifics, I do not believe that we will need any information relayed to us on your end to resolve the issue for you.

Hence why we do not need petitions to be placed regarding the issue.

If anything changes regarding that, we'll let you know.

New information has come in regarding the issue and as such the way we're approaching the issue has needed to be altered.

You can leave it up, it's fine; up to you really. You may not receive a response regarding it for a while, however. We hope to have the issue resolved sometime soon.

Q u o t e:
Q: After two days of waiting for my mounts to be returned with no such luck, I went out and purchased an epic flyer and an epic ground, two seperate colors than ones I previously had, is this going to in any way effect Blizzards ability to know what I had and restore it to me?

Purchasing additional mounts will likely not cause any conflicts with our ability to restore what's missing.

Q u o t e:
Q: Any chance of a time table on how long this issue is going to take to resolve or if it even looks like you will resolve it?

I do not have a time frame available.

Q u o t e:
So at this point in time no GM Ticket is necessary for mount/pet retrieval?

At this point in time, that is correct.

I'm going to reiterate this:

Before asking questions regarding the resolution — as I'm hoping, and as it should be that there are no issues with this — can we please wait until you receive your in-game mail?

It is likely going to take some time for everyone to receive theirs, but everyone should be good to go by tomorrow.

Should I resubmit it tonight when I get home, or will they be able to restore my last missing pet without me being online?
