Racial question for Alliance Mage

So my horde mage is sitting around ready to go alliance. I much rather stay undead but my friends are on alliance and I'm going to play with them for pvp.

The obvious choice for PvP was human because of the racial, but with that nurfed to 3 mins I find myself forced to choose bewteen Gnome or Worgen. I can't handle dwarf nor the silly Russian race.

Worgen get the amazing crit bonus while gnomes get the extra mana, I think worgens have that part hands down. My question is, and I'm hoping someone who was on beta or PvP'd as a mage can tell me, which will be more useful for pvp, gnome escape or sprint? I think the gnome escape has a 1 min less cooldown also?

My thinking is that gnome beats out Worgen for the simple fact that it breaks snares, while the sprint will stink if snared. I'd appricate some brainstorming though. Thanks!
