Blizzard,

Turn on your armory.
Select "search arena teams"
type in Naga.

Now fix it.

You have over 400 teams using Naga as a rough variation on a different N word. When it was one or two mild phrases, it was almost an amusing turn of phrase:
"Naga Please" became
"Naga gave me Harpies" which became even more offensive phrases.

Last week I played against:
Lynch a Naga

It was reported, along with the fact there was a huge number of similar names..

Yet, on your arena team list right now you have:
Back of the Bus Naga
Naga Lips
Naga Slave Traders
Oprah Windfury is a Naga
Oversized Naga Dix
Curbstomp a Naga
Bite the Curb Naga

and hundreds more..

The last two listed are specific instances of racial violence.
The inclusion of these terms is offensive, the players who chose them did so to cause an uncomfortable environment for a certain part of the population.
The players need the teams disbanded.. not name changed.. losing a few points is the smallest punishment some should recieve. Suspensions would be in order for others.

I realize your general player base tends to skew young.. and immature.
But you have a responsibility to remove certain references from your game. And, to let those who use those references know that it won't be tolerated. Otherwise you are telling the rest of us that this is the type of environment you want within your game.
Im tired of typing this into in-game "reports" that dont get addressed while Im online. I shouldnt have to type a new one for every team. So I am putting the entire issue here.

Consider them all reported.

If anyone encounters any inappropriate character, guild or pet names please submit an in-game petition and a Game Master will definitely take the appropriate action. Please understand that the Game Master department does not actively police realms for names in violation of our Naming Policy.

While the debate of whether name is appropriate or not can continue, it will ultimately come down to the Game Master department addressing each name reported to us on a case-by-case basis. Please help us to provide a fun and safe gaming environment by reporting inappropriate names.

Thank you. :)

As previously mentioned the appropriate steps to take when encountering a naming in violation of our Naming Policy is to submit an in-game petition, it will in turn be appropriately addressed by the Game Master department. We definitely appreciate your efforts in bringing such situations to our attention. :)

Thank you!
