Achievement announcement

Hey, simple question, and if this is answered elsewhere i'm sorry, forum search & google search both let me down :-(

Is there any way to disable the guild announcement everytime you achieve something?

Also, does the forum not require your authenticator code to login?

Not sure about announcing, but the chat tab is indeed the place to turn off seeing them from others.

One one of my characters I had to toggle this on and off, although I wanted them ON.
